Unpop ops/flameable confessions

Re: Unpop ops/flameable confessions

  • Yaga, I agree about the antibiotics. I've had SO many sinus infections. There are certain cases where nothing else works and I need the antibiotics because it is actually a bacterial issue. Bacteria go deeper into the tissues yadda yadda, so when I not only have sinus but facial pain, that's usually when I try and get the antibiotics. It's pretty impossible to tell between the two kinds but when pain spreads, for me at least, it has always been easily solved with antibiotics. When pain stays localized to the sinuses I never get the antibiotics, warm cloths and steam help the best.

I don't see how antibiotics have more of a risk than Vicodin. That's just me.

  • I confess I dont care about ADHD anymore and hate that it has turned into a debate.

OMG, this. I don't see this happening nearly enough anymore. I really hope I am able to do this for my children. I see so many kids pushing their parents around, acting up, running around screaming, yelling at their parents. NO. Not going to happen with me. Children need guidance and help, but they also need room to grow and become themselves, not what their parents decide they need to be. I got really lucky with my mom. All she ever had to do was say she was disappointed in my behavior if I did something wrong, which didn't happen often because of the way she raised me. That maternal guilt can do so much!

I don't understand why my sister's doctor gives in and prescribes a z-pack every month.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Unpop ops/flameable confessions : I started to wonder about her nursing education at that point. Also - I saw your other post about the sinus infections. I'm sure you've seen a ENT doctor, but the best thing I had done for my repeated sinus infections was have the turbinates in my nose surgically cauterized. Everything was so swollen that nothing was draining properly, keeping the infectious stuff in (virus or bacteria) and it would just keep flaring up. It's been 5 years and I've had maybe 1 sinus infection since. I keep Patanase and Nasonex on hand when things start getting stuffed up. I tried the Netipot thing, but sort of failed at doing it correctly. Luckily I haven't had a need to do it much since my "surgery" (it was a 10 minute outpatient procedure).

[QUOTE]My flammable opinion is that when you voluntarily put yourself into the public spotlight (like the college student, celebrities, etc), I don't feel as sorry for you when people call you names, etc. Do I agree with what Rush said? No. But he functions on attention so what do you expect? She put herself into the spotlight so I don't get worked up at the results of her choice. That's also why I don't feel too sympathetic when celebrities whine about paparazzi. You are only famous because people care about watching you; yes, it gets too intense, but that's a choice you made. Some celebrities purposely stay out of the public eye outside of movies. As a result, they don't get as much fame, but they have more privacy. Own your choices.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Unpop ops/flameable confessions : Can I ask how it offends you though? He said something to/about someone else and you were in no way involved so why does it offend you? This is also kind of why I dont get people being offended by people using "non PC" words, I dont get how it offends THEM.

I hate this argument. If you dont want people to comment on your sex life, then keep your sex life to yourself.
