Re: Confessions

  • Confession:

I have listened to "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You" COVERED by Micheal Buble at least 15 times in a row today.
    image
  • hlq-I'm totally going to have to take out the garbage immediately I'm sure when I give them to him lol.

  • People have told me I look like I'm trying to be sexy in my e-pic that is in my sig (people IRL not on here). I kinda laugh because I literally had no expression on my face there. Those were some of the first shots so I kinda was dead-faced. So that is my dead face.

My H started grad school in 1996. I started high school. I never would have thought in a million years when I was 14 that I would be marrying someone who was then-22.

I have a silly confession that only the Gleeks will probably get.

You know in season 1, when the kids did mash-ups? And the boys did "It's my life" mashed with "Confessions"? When I see this thread, I keep hearing the boys sing "These are my confessions...."

Yeah, I have the Glee soundtracks, so I know the song really well. *Sigh*

When my aunt was born, my uncle was 23.

ETA: Which made me realize that I'm still younger than my uncle was when my aunt was an infant. huh.

  • Count me in as another one who keeps putting off the baby train!  I keep setting these arbitrary deadlines, like "after Vegas," or "after Mexico," and the inventing new ones - like, now I want to go away between Christmas and New Years, and I want to visit my friend in London.  One of these days!

I graduated high school in 1999 and college in 2003.  He graduated in 1992 and 1996, respectively.  Lotsa youngins around here!

Musical, I don't think that looks like a dead face (not like the creepy May 11 epics girl's dead face anyway). I think maybe people think it looks sexy because you have good eye contact, which is impressive. I think Tyra would be proud.

I think people are used to that blank stare that models do, so maybe that's where they were coming from?

  • I'm kinda jealous of everyone who has e-pics. I know they're not required or anything, but would have been nice to be able to get them done.

Thanks, :) Was I smizing enough for Ty-Ty? haha. Actually, when I did my b-pics, my photog said the secret to looking sexy is keeping the bottom lip just slightly apart from the top one. I did that for most of the shoot and it worked like a charm.
    image
  • ggirl, I wanted to do them so I'd have a higher degree of comfort with the photographer for the wedding day.  I was super apprehensive, but now that I know she got some photos I liked for the e-pics, I feel confident that there will be a sufficient number of wedding pics that I like too.

H wants me to take b pics too, but I don't know how I feel about a random photographer taking pictures of me in lingerie.  Sort of creepy.
  • Gg, I wish we had e-pics done, too. I think I've talked H into doing some pictures this summer though because we have no pics in our house that aren't at our wedding or close up self-portraits.

I would probably have felt that way if it was a male photographer, however sexist that may sound. The women who I worked with were probably in their mid-30s and totally casual and fun.

  • Yeah, thats the problem. My wedding is in Florida. Up until recently I was living in Buffalo, FI was in south carolina and then deployed so the chances of us being able to use the wedding photographer were nil. Then when he was home prior to deployment it was right before xmas so we had no money to do anything. I just like looking at everyone's  and wish I had some really nice, casual pics of fi and me, instead of ya know, self portraits that I have taken lol.
    image
  • mica, if I did them, it would be with our wedding photographer, I think.  She does them, and I have a relationship with her.

But still... I think I'd feel very awkward.
    image
  • Are we still talking about ages?

FI is 4 years older than me. I like to tease him that he was graduating high school on the same day I was graduating 8th grade. It sounds all creepy molesterish when you put it that way. :)
  • Happy birthday, Bubbs!

Matilda, I don't blame you for feeling anxious about doing WW with your husband.  When I was in WW, the guys in our group lost so quickly they actually were a little afraid of our dagger eyes.

</div><div>Maybe you can get a friend to take some one day. We have a really nice DLSR camera that we are going to have my SIL use to take some pic this summer or fall. It they don't come out so well, we think we know a photographer who would do it cheaply or even free.

  • I've never dated a significantly older man. *pouts* ;) haha my first serious boyfriend was actually about 9 months younger than me, my second was like a year older I think, and J is about 8 months older.

FWIW, I had a serious, mentally debilitating crush on a man 10 years older than me for about 3 years. His name was Heath Ledger.
    image
  • Yeah, I'm going to have to talk FI into that. He HATES pictures lol. I just want some nice ones of us besides wedding pictures. But if I tell him I want to do it, he will follow through. He's usually good with things like that.

I only did epics because my uncle is my photographer and did the session for free. I don't love the pictures though. We just did them in my mom's back yard when we were home for a weekend and neither of us were prepared really attire wise. And it was so hot so we were kind of sweaty.
