You know it Petal, and maybe a real game of scrabble too!  It will be late August, early September before we come down.  The motors are going in the boat now, and then it will need to be rigged, Then, and only then, after almost 4 years of waiting, we will come down and bring the boat home.

Right, you would think! I'll never understand it. And I agree on the dragginess of this day, ugh.

I don't mind a nice, light tan done properly, so yes - the Dorito girls amuse me. I mean, do they not realize they're orange and should maybe scale it back a bit next time? Use less bronzer or something?

Yep, I've been here for 3 years. It's a nice place, but I have to admit that I can't wait to come home. The charm wears off quite quickly when you're sitting at home on a Saturday in June because it's fifty degrees and raining. Cue violin.

Complaints aside, it is good for potatoes, bread and cider, which can quickly make up for the misery!

  • Uggg, the day is dragging...I still haven't gotten to the dreaded laundry. I need to but I just don't want to get off my arse to do it.  I was planning on doing some much needed work in the veg garden, but it's raining.  We need the rain, but I need to work in the garden.

So far the high point of my day has been getting a coupon for a free gallon of milk when I made a grocery run this morning.  Free is good!  Milk down here, the store brand mind you, averages $3.50 a gallon!

Oh wow, I just realised you are only one day after me, that's awesome. I came to Belfast for film school because I wanted to make a career change. I finished my degree, and just as I was planning to head back to sweet, sweet sunshine, I met my fiance here. And that is how I ended up staying.

Your evening sounds amazing, by the way!

The invites are fun, we DYI ours, well my sister did.  I provide the vision, verbage, and $ and she took it from there.  She really, really outdid herself.  STD in late August for a March 9th wedding sounds right.

  • Hi everyone. I'm just looking at all the crap I need to do for my Visa. Anyone want to do it for me?

Also - my friends boyfriend of 5 years broke up with her about 3 days before my wedding and she moved into my house for a little while (in addition to my ILs and MOH staying there). Her relationship status on FB has just changed to in a relationship with someone else. I've texted her asking if that's true but she hasn't responded. I'm totally floored. A week before they broke up she was talking about getting married to her ex and now she's with someone else. That seems like such a bad idea - especially considering the person her FB says she's in a relationship with.

[QUOTE]Poke, I have a friend who sort of did this. She was married and was pissed that her deployed H was talking to another girl on FB. </div><div>I normally wouldn't care, but since I know her so well I know whats going on. When we were in HS she was dating a guy that broke up with her, then jumped into a new relationship. Then left him for her ex, and now has jumped into another relationship. So basically, she hasn't been without a BF since she was about 15 or so. She's only doing this to not be alone, and I know she had no feelings for him prior to the break up. So that's really not fair on him, and very selfish of her. </div>
