To the Vitamin String Quartet's version of "1000 Years" - but the rest of the wedding party will be walking down to "Hoppipolla" by Vitamin String Quartet.
I want to use All Your Life by The Band Perry (we are big country fans) but my sisters keep telling me you arent supposed to use lyrics because it "takes attention away from you"
I'm walking down the aisle to "Fanfare for the Common Man." It's used as an intro for the Chicago Blackhawks. My fiancée grew up playing hockey and has always been a huge Hawks fan. He picked the song!
Don't know the processional yet, but our recessional is an old obscure but wonderful Motown classic "Oh How Happy" by Shades of Blue http://youtu.be/WF5m59gy1P8
"Call of Destiny" by Rob Lane its also the opening credits to the BBC show "Merlin". It seems to fit with our celtic feel to our wedding for Patrick and I. I love the legends of King Arthur, His knights, Camelot and Merlin so this works for us.
"A Storybook Love" from The Princess Bride. (The instrumental version, not the one with vocals) We're walking out to "Shining Star" by Earth, Wind and Fire.
Wow! You all have such great ideas We will be playing many of those songs at our reception, but I'm having a traditional Catholic ceremony, so I had three choices and ultimate I narrowed it down to two: Wedding in Cana and Trumpet Voluntary- I'm walking in to Trumpet Voluntary-- our wedding coordinator and the music director at church (and a family friend) said that she walked in to that one on her wedding, as did Princess Di. It's more of a "grand" entrance, whereas Wedding in Cana was more subdued and not as much "drama" in the entrance. And I was surprised to hear that the tune to "Here Comes the Bride" is actually not used at all in church because of its origins. Learn something new every day right? No big deal though...
Now at the reception, we're all going to be walking in to "Tie it Up" by Kelly Clarkson. It's a new one and just oh so fitting! I CAN'T WAIT!! Heard it for the first time at her concert about a week after it was released and could just picture it!
We will be walking down the aisle to Game of Thrones "The King's Arrival"... More of a processional feel than the theme song, and only real GoT fans will recognize it.
We're having a Star Wars/Star Trek wedding. As of now I'll be walking in to the Imperial March from Star Wars. We will then walk out to the theme from the newer Star Trek movies. Our first dance will be to Can You Feel the Love Tonight from Lion King. Watching that movie was our first date.
But i am totally stuck on either Storybook Love or the song Buddy Holly by Weezer redone by Richard Cheese. Buddy Holly just screams me and my partner. I just want to tell people when they ask, "yeah that was a Weezer Song redone by a lounge singer!"
I'm using Falling in love in a coffee shop by Landon Pigg. When FH and I started dating in highschool (and we all still had myspace pages) I used it as my page song. Now during wedding planning I was looking through list and upon list of recommended songs and wasn't loving anything and then FH looks over and says "what about that pigg song?" took a moment of explanation and that was that.
The wedding party will be walking down to "Lady Sunday" by R. Kelley (my fiance's pick) and I will be walking to "Running" by No Doubt (my pick). We each picked a song that represented our feelings toward each other.
I don't think Canon in D is boring - I think it's beautiful and that's what I've chosen. I can see myself walking down the aisle to that!!! PROUD OF IT!!!
Re: What song are you walking down the aisle to?
Think I will be using an acoustic version of Hallelujah...
We're walking out to "Shining Star" by Earth, Wind and Fire.
