@flantastic the (delicious) mods my friend and I made were to make a marscapone topping instead of the honey whipped cream (although I'm sure that's equally good). And we added probably more sugar than we should have, some more lemon juice, vanilla extract, and blackberries to the blueberry sauce.
I love waffles, but I just don't dig sweet things so those sauces and compotes and whatnot just don't do it for me. However, throw some fried chicken and sausage gravy on those waffles, and then you'll have my attention!
Guys, I saw this thing a while back (probably on the food network?) where they made French toast... with POUND CAKE instead of bread!!!!!!!! With powdered sugar and fruit on top. I've been meaning to try that for a while now...
There's a waffle place here that makes both sweet and savory waffles and one of the savory is topped with (I kid you not): garlic cream cheese and a hot dog. I'll also throw an egg on top and while I know how it *sounds* it's like crack, it's so fucking good.

We have Bruxie which is a place like that, and also Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. Garlic cream cheese sounds increasingly intruiging.
Sadly, no, but I should try to find one when I get home and on real internet. That's a picture from a restaurant called Continental. Their chicken and waffles are soooooooooooooooooooo good.

Pssh! I use homemade chocolate cake to make french toast! Then I top it with chocolate syrup!
Yes, I married a choc-o-holic and am always trying to add chocolate to different things! I found a recipe for chocolate waffles! For valentine's day, I made him a flourless chocolate cake with chocolate ganache!

Have you ever made mole? I've always been curious if it's good.
I bought this awesome apple cranberry crumb bread at a craft fair in the fall and used it to make French toast. Oh. Em. Gee. It was heavenly.
And the chicken and waffles I'm in love with? It's a white cheddar waffle with buttermilk fried chicken and apple wood smoked bacon gravy. I can't wait to eat it again next week.
I would like to apologize first if this seems to be a very

I am marrying my fiancé in June this year after a long 2
years engagement! We’ve been together for almost 8 years now it’s finally
happening! Unfortunately what is supposed to be my happy time is leaving me very confused
by my future sister in law's behavior (my fiance’s brother’s wife).
Now I am really interested to see the response for this:
So I don't really know my husband's brother's soon to be wife too well in fact we don't even have each other contacts I see her when we get together for family stuff/holidays.
So I found out I wasn't asked to be in her wedding-I was pissed and first deleted her from FB and blocked her from Instagram-she found out about me being pissed because my husbandcalled and let the brother and soon to be sister in law knows, so she immediately called and texted me I just ignored it, at this point she's pretty much dead to me. Got her email a week later to explain why I wasn't chosen to be in her wedding so to shoo her away I pretended nothing happened and told her whatever I don't care for her explanation so whatever.
A month later I got a card and she asked me to be the bridesmaid! Since she's dead to me I just ripped the card apart and pretended that I never received it, I should be getting lots of supports from here I hope, my behavior is totally normal and so mature and I am just a very thoughtful person!
How do you have both a husband and a FI? If you are already married, then there is a simple answer! You don't need a bridal party, corsages, or any of the other things that seem to be stressing you out, because you already had a wedding! See how easy that was?
Also, I love all the waffle ideas on this thread! YUM!
Hmmm.... posting a Regina George gif when you have nothing douchey left to say? Seems familiar.
How do you feel about gay marriage? Porn? Boobs on TV? ABORTION?
Hmm ok not sure what was this post was all about but ok.
I was trying to get good advice here, I admit I was very much bother by how family members are acting certain way as it seems like now the boyfriend dropped out of the wedding, and the BIL, which is supposed to be the best man is exhibiting the same behavior as the wife, has not spoken to my fiancé at all. How would you feel if you were us? My fiancé is now worry the brother will not talk to him ever again, since he hasn't since the New Year.
Go ahead and attack my fiancé as well right because he has absolutely no right to feel worrisome as the bestman hasn't talked to him, right? Because he must be another drama llama.
Enough of the attacks, put yourself in our shoes and think if you wouldn't give a fuck at all to what is happening. It certainly leaves a bad taste in our mouth.

Hey - I am getting married, in June.
The second post using the term husband, was a hypothetical post about the FSIL and her behavior since January 1st.
I would like to apologize first if this seems to be a very
longgggg forum but I am being driven crazy and wondering if fellow brides can help
me out here??

Whoa, back up the truck, totally missed that! You're already married? This is all over a PPD?
Re: DRAMA-Please HELP!
Seriously, whenever I think of this thread, I think of this:
"Now NOBODY gets any popcorn!"
They at least know they're creating drama over nothing, and love it.
And these Pumpkin Pancakes with Apple Compote (ignore the excessive amount of whipped cream):
Oh, and I tried these the other day, but they weren't as good as I thought they'd be. Also, they look like vaginas.
Pssh! I use homemade chocolate cake to make french toast! Then I top it with chocolate syrup!
