I watched both episodes last night, so it was sort of a muddling "this is a bit better" on average for me.

It was an interesting, but slow, episode.

I cried when the horse was being attacked. DH said that I didn't react like that when they ate the dogs. Well, that's because the dogs were mean, or being mean, idk.

I knew Rick and Jessie would have a little thing going on. It's weird that her husband is all of the sudden Mr. Nice Guy. It will be interesting to see where that goes.

I honestly think it could be a bad move for them to be taking guns. I can just see something bad happening for that reason.

Carol freaked me out. I did not like her talking to the little boy like that. I mean, I get she has to protect their secrets and all, but that just really made me uncomfortable. I think she was too busy believing she was "invisible" that she didn't notice a little boy following her.

I think Daryl said it best, "The longer it is out here, the more it becomes what it really is” when talking baout the horse but I think it was a greater point to all of human nature.

Remember Rick left that map behind showing their route to DC? They obviously didn't make it that far, but if Morgan followed the same route he'd come across Alexandria too.

I felt very boohoo about the horse for the same reason. The dogs were just... different.

Ad re: Jessie's husband, I don't buy the nice guy act, and think he is up to something. I got worried when he was so insistent on getting a drink for Rick and snapped at Jessie the HE WOULD DO IT, when she tried to go.

I kind of liked the Carol scene. It was a side of her we haven't really seen before. We have seen weak Carol, badass Carol, and mom Carol... but scary Carol is different in an interesting sort of way, i think.

DH definitely was, too! I giggled when she was so nonchalantly like, "Or nothing could happen. And you get cookies" part. It was just a different side of Carol and it freaked me out, honestly.

Carol is hands down my favorite character on the show. I don't think her threatening the kid was really a new side of her, she did kill the sick people in the prison for the survival of the group, so I kinda think this is along those lines. I just love her general level of badassery, and that now she's doing it in a floral sweater.

The horse dying was easily the most emotional thing in the entire show so far for me. It made me cry, close second was Hershel.

As a horse person, I wish the horse thing wasn't so cheesy. A horse that's been evading humans forever can easily outrun some dumbass zombies. Also the constant rearing and neighing- horses don't really do that. They get the fuck out of there. Bah. But that's basically every show/movie involving a horse ever, so there's that.
