The most he ever gets off at a time is two weeks and that just wasn't enough time for us to have a wedding and a proper honeymoon without stupid amounts of stress. SO, if you guys had to choose between a day in Geneva (it's a pretty short train ride from where we're staying in Lyon) OR a day at a winery that is advertized as being the "Disneyland of wine" which would you pick? Rach - cheap'ish dinners - pasta with sauce, garlic bread, salad. Veggie stir Fry over rice, tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches (add bacon/ham, tomato, avocado to sandwiches if you like), breakfast for dinner - eggs, pancakes, fruit salad/smoothies etc.
I don't actually know anything about Geneva, so I can't give an opinion. The Disneyland of wine sounds pretty sweet though...
Loopy, that's so awesome. I love how it says baby! on the bottom, haha. I know you guys are team green, but you could have found out the sex with this ultrasound if you chose to, right?
Ugh, all the gift shops around here close at 6. Don't they know some people can't get there til then. Stupid. I guess I'll just go all the way to Michael's and make the gifts myself.
Rach we eat a lot of meatless meals and that saves money. Bean tostadas, fried rice, potato soup/ broccoli soup, veggie lasagna, baked ziti are our go-to's. Pasta/rice/beans are all pretty cheap! I don't eat beef, so sometimes H will buy a big thing of it and freeze it in portions so if he is feeling extra meaty that day I will just cook up a small portion and add it to his plate. We buy our chicken frozen from Costco which we have found is much cheaper than at the store.

<div>Well, it's actually called Hamlet Duboeuf. It's just a wine theme park, so people gotta throw in the Disneyland comparisons.</div>

Just the touristy stuff mostly; Alcatraz, (hopefully) biking the bridge, Chinatown, Japanese tea garden, Fishermans wharf. We got a "city pass" that gets us in to Alcatraz, the aquarium, and a few museums. It also give us a MUNI pass. We are only going to be there for 3 nights so I am more worried about getting everything done that we want to see. We are staying downtown.

<div>Heh, I mean, it <em>should </em>be duh. BUT I COULD BE IN SWITZERLAND too. That's pretty darn cool as well. </div>
Muni, I'd do Geneva-nothing against the Disneyland of wine, but Switzerland is amazing. Loopy-Yay baby! So cute. We're having corn on the cob and either fried chicken or rotisserie chicken, not sure which. Dino, a homemade gift is much better anyway, and Target has great cards from Papyrus.
Your right Muni. I think I change my vote to Geneva. It's not like you can just get drunk and go to Switzerland any day, but you CAN get drunk and go to a theme park any day.
Have fun Shan. My mom and I went to SF a few years ago for a long weekend. We had a good time. We stayed near Fisherman's Wharf and were able to walk a ton of places and took the streetcar a couple of times to other areas. Ghiradelli Square is kind of fun too with shopping and a big turtle fountain. Kind of artsy if I remember right. We did a bus tour of some wineries one day they took us to 3 or 4 wineries in Sonoma and Napa.
Muni - I enjoyed a day in Lugano Switzerland when H and I were on our HM. I went online the night before and found a chocolate factory that had a little museum and tour (walkways with signs explaining what you were seeing - not guided) and then we went to lunch (expensive...$$) in Lugano, and then we went to this SwissMiniature village thing I had found. THere were over 100 swiss monuments in 1:25 scale replica. It was actually kinda cool.
ETA - we had rented a car though, so we were able to drive around outside the city a bit. - we actually set our GPS to Lugano and told it to avoid highways and drove through the Swiss mountains for like 2 hours to get there. It was a lot of fun.
Evening ladies. Hope all is well in your worlds. Ahhh, I am so glad to be out of work for the evening. H is sleeping, he worked 24 hours straight, yikers. I could never, ever do that.

We're Married!! And I couldn't be happier!
We are having grilled Turkey tenderloin, on the grill, served with a salad. We are so boring.
