I hear the people over on the Treehouse have always been open to new members. Unless you're terrible, which they would figure out within 5 posts. But I hear they're pretty nice until you give them a reason not to be.

@rajahbmfd - I wasn't complaining.  I was offering an opinion on why HGF might be taking a break if she was in fact taking a break and not busy with work.

What does it matter who rubbed me the wrong way? I said I wasn't going to "name names" because I think that's childish.  Saying "oh I think @username52 is a huge asshole for calling other people fucktard lemming sheep" solves nothing. It just calls them into this thread, which would just stir up more HGF drama.  I said SOME people in that thread were assholes for behaving like that.

ALL I was doing was offering an opinion. I wasn't calling anyone out or complaining.  I was giving my perspective on what happened.  I wasn't saying get over it as in "make her your BFF for life". I was saying get over it as in "don't try to convince other people to hate someone just because you hate them".  Because that's childish.

This thread was started by someone who likes HGF.  It was responded to by others who like HGF.  I offered an opinion about what happened in a thread that was directed at HGF.  We had moved on to babies and the bar exam, then you all felt the need to join a thread about someone you don't like to point out further that you don't like her. (I get that Addie was also letting us know that somethings in the other thread were accurate). Should I just have ignored when it was dragged up again after we had moved on? CLEARLY.  But for some reason I felt compelled to explain that I don't think anyone who doesn't like HGF (or who doesn't like anyone on these boards for that matter) is an asshole.  I ONLY THINK YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE IF YOU TRY TO CONVINCE OTHER PEOPLE TO HATE SOMEONE BECAUSE YOU HATE THEM.

You don't like her. We get it, and we don't care. That you don't like her doesn't affect how we feel about you, and that we do like her shouldn't affect the way you feel about us.

To elaborate on my Muppet Wife's post: The thing is, Lady is the one who brought up the 28th, and then when she decided she had said her piece, the discussion was redirected. If other people still have thoughts on it, they should feel allowed to voice them since the door was opened. It's not right to say the old regs shouldn't be bringing something up if newer people are allowed to.

So in a sense, I agree partially with y'all saying she needs to say something directly. But in my eyes, that ship sailed on the 28th. By asking her to call people out now, is just asking for drama. 

I think it's fair to say that it should have been brought up in the actual thread, not later and in a completely unrelated thread. But since she is the one who brought it up, it's now fair game for us to ask who she is referring to.

If you have an issue with the timing, take it up with her. She started this with her vague-knotting. We just want to know who she's referring to, so that those people have a chance to say their part in return.

I didn't bring it up.  Everyone who posted before me wondered if she was taking a break because of the 28th! I offered an OPINION about what happened on the 28th. 

I tried to end the conversation because CLEARLY I am also an evil internet nazi wizard who hates everyone, so I was trying to move on to more pleasant things instead of saying that I don't hate anyone and only think some were acting like assholes OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Everyone seemed bored with the conversation, so I was trying to end the boredom.  I didn't "decide it was over so it should be over for everyone" - I was attempting to change the subject since, as I said, everyone seemed bored with it.

I want to know why implying some posters immature assholes over a past event, which was in part sparked by another past event, is ok, but responding to that implication and calling out the one doing the implicating is not.

No, people joined this post to defend themselves against someone speaking about a group of posters in a poor and immature manner.  And really, I would love to know who you are talking about in regards to the seconded bolded portion.  The only poster who was trying to convince people to dislike HGF was the troll crossmyheart, and trolls really don't count.  You must have thought there were others and proceeded to call them names.  Now you are basically trying to back peddle.  You started this crap in this thread.  You are the one who rehashed what happened a few weeks back, knowing full well that most posters frequent all boards and would most likely read this thread.  Did you really think that no one was going to take offense to the fact that you called other posters assholes?  God forbid that we don't agree with HGF and god forbid that we think her talking crap about her husband (I am referring to the May 28th thread) is not appropriate.  How dare we have our own opinion!

Additionally, I don't think any of us would dislike any of you FOR liking HGF. Some of us just find it a little eye rolly that there was an "Oh, no! I hope HGF wasn't run off of TK from that incident recently!" because she herself has intentionally tried to get rid of posters on this board. So forgive us if we are less than sympathetic if she did get run off and find you guys fretting over it a wee bit comical.
