Also, every version of the bible is slightly different in parts.  Plus, it was written by people, long after all that stuff happened.  Now, if they were all the same, and it was writted by God himself, well, then...THEN you'd have an argument.

I don't think I would ever go to the doctor if the co-pay was $100. I only go to the doctor once a year for my pap, and would be really pissed if I spent so much on insurance and still had to pay that much for a visit.

I do think they should reform insurance, but I don't know the best way to do it. Yes the person who goes to the doctor for every sniff is using a ton of resources for nothing, but who is to say their concern isn't valid? It reminds me of the hypochondriac on Scrubs who was diagnosed with something horrible (I think cancer?) after doing a completely unnecessary test.

I also hate how sue happy our society has become. We once had someone try to sue my old store (PetSmart) because I refused to sell them a rat to be used as a snake feeder. This is not Burger King, you don't get it your way. Wtf dude, go to Petco and get it there, or use on of our frozen ones.

Historically speaking, the Bible is a collection of stories configured by men with their own opinions and experiences placed into the collection.  It was also all passed verbally over decades and some of it was probably hundreds of years before it was written down.

Also, Loop is addressing this from a completely largely Catholic Christian perspective.  Pederasty was a common part of Greek culture celebrated and accepted.  They didn't use sexual orientation as a social identity component, which predates Christian culture.

Oh yes we believe you about the doctors.  <scoff />  Clearly that was what I was talking about in regards to unbiased scientists.  You really don't understand how to conduct a debate (ya know with proof, examples, etc.).  Another example of how education is failing in this country.   I am able to interpret and hold faith with the Bible.  I find it to be a living, ever-changing sacred book.  Because I view it in such a profound way I would never believe that genuine love between a man and a man, a woman or a woman, a man and a woman, etc. is wrong.  An atmosphere of love and respect is how children should be raised.  People who use the Bible to promote hate make me sick and ashamed to be a Christian.
