I used to think the same thing. Like, crazy amounts of time spent thinking that. But, I've raised 5 kids, and as long as I don't let them run around in the freeway and sit on the stove, I think I'll do a pretty good job.

CCF I am obvs not going anywhere. I never do, ha. H is finally not fishing tonight, but he isn't off until 11, so that's perfect timing for your schedule. Right? Yes, I think that's around the time you close up. Your time I mean of course.

Hmm, that sounds about right.. It's almost 8 here. I go to the back to close up at 9:05 but don't get off the clock until 9:30..

Yep. He fishes for catfish on the river and they bite the most at night. He will stay out until 2 or 3, sometimes even 4 or 5 if he doesn't work the next day. It's annoying, but he loves it so I try to be supportive.

That's what I thought CCF. I wasn't sure if you were off at 9 or 9:30.

I am working on the volunteer application for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and it's flipping HUGE! That's a good thing. They do a ton of back round checks, but holy moly I am getting writer's cramp.

I love tacos and burritos. We go to this mexican place that makes a macho burrito and it seriously takes up the whole plate. I love it and can normally finish the whole thing.

I have always been kind of meh about Mexican food until H came along. I like it almost as much as Asian food, which says a lot. We eat tacos all the time. We have a couple of awesome Mexican restaurants out here. We went to one on our first date (after a trip to the zoo. It was such a fun first date) and they have amazing quacamole and their margaritas are to die for. The other isn't quite as good but the 3 of us can get lunch for under $20 even with a good tip and they have this white dip for chips that is like crack.

Alyssa, the minimum commitment is 8 hours a month, and two "meetings." I'll probably hang out with my kiddo 2 hours a week. It isn't a huge time commitment at all.
