I know. My wedding is at the end of January, and I don't want my invitations to get mixed in with all the holiday cards that start going out after Thanksgiving. So I simply asked if it would be terrible if I mailed them the week before Thanksgiving, which would be about 9 weeks before the wedding. That was the response. If I didn't want to deal with Post Offices during the busy season, I should have thought of that before picking my wedding date.
Like I said, not exactly helpful advice. I think the e-board had been flooded with stupid invitation questions around that time, and I was unaware of it. So I got the crazy responses due to boredom and pent up rage at newbs with dumb questions. At the time I was pissed, now I laugh at it.

I am also here hoping to never get knocked up Nebb. I feel weird for not wanting kids but I just don't.

This is random and nothing to do with this but I was driving home behind a dodge charger with "sh8knb8k" as the license plate and he sped right off once we got on the highway and all I could think was "if you're not first, you're last!". It was awesome

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: TK irrational irritations : So typing out a whole name makes a difference how? (read this in a friendly tone) If you're that new, you're either going to get totally ignored/passed over because you're not recognized and not saying anything interesting. Or, you'll say something interesting and someone will look to see who said it and you'll get noticed. Typing out a name is just going to make people notice you in an "ohh, bless her heart" kind of way, not much more. Just quote, people will know you're responding to them. Or totally type out people's names and people will continue to laugh at you. Whatever. It's not that big of a deal either way.

I guess it doesn't... I was just pointing out that I used to do it because I assumed people would find it odd that a newb was calling them by their nick-user name (that sounds weird)

I think that people just do that for one, to get their two sense in. For two, to get more posts. Somehow, people think that makes them superior on this site.
  • Nebb, I don't know if I'll ever catch baby fever. Maybe one day, but I'm beginning to doubt it.

Also, it definitely seems like more people are still having babies than not. If population increase is slowing, I'm betting that there are many more reasons to it than just more women deciding not to have children.

I accidentally ended up with a SN similar to an older member. I've been using Starqueg for over 10 years or so on various sites (it was my AIM SN in HS). For a long time I was called Star on other sites. I get confused when StarMusica (I think that's her name) and I are in the same post.

We had fun with our bouquet and garter toss. But H didn't take anything off me, we just did the tosses and made them open to everyone, single or not. We have some funny pictures from them.

Today on the newspaper website I read there were a ton of comments on an article for that dns changer virus or whatever and people kept saying to format your comp but that you will need "patients". Unless your computer is becoming a doctor once its formatted, that makes no bloody sense. I hate when people use the wrong word, even if it sounds the same. Its not the same!

You mean you couldn't care less.

^^ That, is a rational irritation of mine.

Here's an irrational irritation. A guy on my FB feed this morning posted that he didn't know why Kourtney Kardashian's baby was making CNN's news and that other babies starving in Africa deserved more headlines. Also he has no idea why the Kardashians are famous.

Okay. Here's a rant. Bitchplease. Kourtney Kardashian is a public figure and regardless of whether people should care about her pregnancy or not, here's another news flash - people do. Not saying it's right, but dude. Getthefuck over it. There are plenty of other headlines about travesties happening the world over, maybe some people need a little bit of happy news once in a while to remind them that the entire world isn't going to shiiit. And honestly, anyone who says they don't understand why the Kardashians are famous is a dipshit. They have been running around with famous ass people for years and have always been well known in celebrity circles. Of course. Their level of fame is most definitely hyped and ridiculous. But if you're going to let the fact that one of them had a baby ruin your entire day you probably need to fucking relax. Drink a fat beer or something.

  • There is a chick on my local board and every time I see her name I get irrationally irritated because I know her response is an arseholish response. Her SN is bereasonable and she has a piggybank as her avatar. She is constantly putting down vendors that other people use and only will recommend high end vendors, constantly saying "you get what you pay for." The mere thought of her drives me insane, and the fact that she made a nasty comment about Nates' photog irritated me. I think she is a troll out there to twist balls, and she certainly twists mine.
