I won't change our kitchen lightbulb in our apartment.  It's one of those fluorescent bar lights and it's a PITA.  When the light fixture fell out of the ceiling earlier this year I asked if it could be replaced with something that took standard lightbulbs, and they said no.  So for that one, I'm calling the maintenance guys.  Judge away.
    Posted by pirategal03
I should have C&Ped my rant from the other thread.  Florescent lights are a PITA and can be dangerous, so i don't judge that.  Or outside lights.  Or really tricky/fancy light fixtures.  But a regular lightbulb?  I judge.

  • I judge the Chinese restaurant that asked me to produce their radio commercial, then went nuclear because I included a gong sound effect and "that's not who we are."  HELLO - you are a CHINESE RESTAURANT.
  • I judge every driver who stayed in the left lane on the highway this weekend when they clearly needed to get the eff over into the right lane because they weren't passing anyone.  Especially if I flashed them and they still didn't move over.

I judge people who wear khakis or other odd things to the gym.

I also judge the women on the bikes that are barely doing any work. Why bother paying for a gym membership?

  • Alli - the small town I grew up in (well, outside of actually - farm kid) used to let rural people take their recyclables to the recycle center in town.  Growing up I would sort the glass, plastic and aluminum into three bags.  Yeah, but now they don't allow rural people to bring in their recyclables anymore.  So my parents compact and burn them with the rest of their garbage.

    I judge my hometown.

I'm with you on the regular lightbulbs.  That's a little out of line, I think.

Our apartment complex is ridiculous, they will actually come around twice a year and change all of the lightbulbs, air filters (they will do this monthly) and smoke alarm/carbon alarm batteries whether they need it or not.  We have to put a note on our door saying not to change any of those things because we take care of them ourselves.

Yeah, I judged the people who believed the pedophilia rumor too. Seriously, do people think the all the pervs got together and put this master plan in place to get adults to change their FB profile pics  on the off chance kids might do it too? Then the pervs could friend them and molest them? Seriously?

On a related note, I judge parents that don't monitor their kids' facebook and internet useage.

IMO, you missed including that they asked for the Asian sound effects.  To me, the OP came across as "I put in a stereotypical Asian sound effect and they got all pissed. WTF" and I could understand why that might make them angry.  Judging them for asking for the sound effects, getting them and THEN getting pissed makes more sense.

  • I judge parents who lose their children at the mall, and then don't NOTICE they're gone, for at least 30 minutes.

And while we're talking about gym stuff:

I judge my coworker who complains all the time about how fat she is (she's a size 6), got a gym membership, and has worked out twice in 4 months. Both times with me.

I got a membership, because I DO need to lose weight, but got it at that gym, because she goes there. She said if we made a schedule she'd go 5 times a week with me. I'm still waiting. I've gone once without her, but seeing as how it's been pouring the last few days, and I don't have a car, it's been a little difficult to do.

My dad lost me in the largest mall in North American when I was 12. For four hours. Apparently, they decided to take an hour to change after we went to the indoor water park, and since it was just him, me and my brothers, I had to change alone. I came out and thought they left without me, so I wandered away.

Yeah, he supposedly had the security guards out looking for me, but I didn't see a single one of them. My dad was actually the one who found me, sitting on a bench RIGHT outside the lost and found area. It was funny stuff.

ETA: It was the largest mall in the world at the time, only the 5th largest now.
