Oh, and I'm not very close to his parents, and I really feel they are closer to their other children than to FI.  I just don't want to hurt our relationship going in. I do care about what they think about how I treat their relatives, whether or not I agree with it.

I have no problem with Heels, but I don't for a second think she didn't realize that posting about how she was GBCKing wouldn't garner a ton of sympathy for her. She said she didn't realize there would be a 12 page thread trying to get her to stay. She was here for almost 3 years. She's seen it before. (Andplusalso, you can GBCK by just not posting anymore, rather than going though a whole song and dance of getting your SN deleted.)

I flame all the people who think the budget board was totally awful and I was totally awful for putting it up, and yet up until this board it had the most posts on it today about people calmly talking about thier budgets. No one on the board seemed to be insulted or said anything about it there. Also, it was a poll so it was supposed to be anonymous.

The Heels GBCK was pretty dramatic, even for her. TK doesn't have to delete your account. You could always, oh I don't know, STOP POSTING. And in her case, she talks to several SB regs off board, so it wasn't like she couldn't relay the message through one of them. I just don't get the whole GBCK post. If you're going to do it, then just disappear, I say. There's no way for you to post a GBCK without looking like you're fishing for people to beg you not to leave, or playing the victim just a little too much.
