H holds my purse for me all the time. And he goes shopping with me and takes the clothes I'm holding out of my hands and walks around the store carrying them for me. He also buys my tampons without needing a cheat sheet and will toss them on the checkout line with pride!

God DAMMIT, Kiki.  I read that reversed and was insanely excited for a few moments.  I'm glad I re-read before posting a gigantic congratulatory post. 

A comedian I saw once had a funny bit about going to the store for tampons.  He said he loved to do it, because it was like "Hey, look at me!  I have a WOMAN waiting for me at home!"

It was in Unpopular Opinions, which is now on page 2. Cliff's notes: someone on my month board wanted to move her maiden name to a second middle name. Her FI doesn't want her to do that because he thinks she's planning for the marriage to fail by keeping her family's name in any way at all, and when you grow up and get married, that's "just what you do" - take your husband's last name. Which to me, makes him sound like a huge tool. That would certainly be a deal breaker for my if I got to the point of discussing marriage with someone like that.

Anyway, a lot of girls told her that she should respect his opinion and try to compromise even though HE clearly didn't respect her opinion on her own damn name.

I guess he also said something to her about taking your husband's last name being in the bible. Whoe. Back the truck up. A lot of girls said that's not true! The thing is, no matter what, she WAS going to take his last name. But even if she didn't want to, that should not matter at all. I just felt so angry on her behalf.

H holds my purse all the time. I'll ask him to hold it just for a sec while I do something like putting on a coat, and instead he slings it over his shoulder and just starts walking because apparently waiting 5 seconds is worse than walking around town with a purse.
