TMI?

Re: TMI?

  • Ahhh you were all making it sound like it was a whole different brand of BSC back then.

I think the intro posts are kind of cool. As long as the person doesn't make a jackass out of themselves. Most of them seem to be lurkers who have an idea of how to ack rite.
  • there were some trolls that were entertaining back in the day. but I'm sure it'll come around again.
  • Yeah I'm lurking on fische's thread right now, reminiscing on the old days. I'm curious about this random PIP poster. That sounds fun.

It wasn't. She was like Music&Lyrics but possibly even more annoying.

Edit: And I think she took some people's sig pics and doctored them in somewhat mean ways. That could have been someone else, though. I remember bbyckes was upset about that or something. Back when she was cacoffer.

  • I'm lurking everywhere. Now I see what all the talk is about the good ole days though. When it was just random generic musings it didn't make much sense. But to see it in color is a whole new thing.
When I first started EVERYTHING was flamed into oblivion. This board was six kinds of snark (like the for-real kind, not the crap that gets called that nowadays). And AFSB was full of a whole DIFFERENT brand of snark and the occasional crosscontamination was hysterical. Then, KA started cracking down on Dani, who in turn had to crack down on US about being nicer to everyone.

What does this stand for? I get that it was a board name, but I see it randomly and have no clue.

  • stage, yeah, I remember that. I lurked on P&E for a long time before I started posting, because it was brutal. and NEY was awesome.
(remember before NEY and AFB merged?)
It was Advice from Snarky Brides. Technically, I think it started out as Advice from Brides, then turned to just Snarky Brides by the end of the old format.

AFB was "Advice From Brides." it had Fenton, Cali, Hezz, Groomz, and some others.
NEY was "Not Engaged Yet," and it had Chop, Fallin, Bethie, Winged, etc.
the two boards merged and the board was changed to "Snarky Brides," but people called it "Advice from snarky brides," which is AFSB.
  • This board has calmed down a lot even since the first time I came here. I was here for a little of the "grabbing your bowl of popcorn" when someone came in with a BSC question or comment.

I guess we'll just have to create our own memories now, huh? Hehe.
Last year I was having some digestive issues and needed H to go to the store and buy some Immodium for me. He was such a baby about it, he went out of his to drive to a store where they have self check-out lanes so he wouldn't have to hand it to a person. Dudes just don't know...there's nothing that really phases me anymore when it comes to buying embarrassing products. And in current TMI, I had an abnormal Pap smear two weeks ago and they can't fit me back in for follow-up until October 7. I wish I could just go get the damn test already so I don't have to freak myself out for the next two months.
    Posted by abbalish
At least you got your PAP results...my TMI is that I had mine dones two weeks ago and the Drs. office finally called today to let me know that the doctor had not collected enough of a sample to actually test, so yes, I have to go BACK in to the Dr. to have another one taken.

BTW - I had two abnormal Paps (HPV) and it cleared itself up in a year. Don't freak yourself out too much by it. GL though.

ETA: I'm way behind on this thread! Sorry
About as well as you'd think. I miss frankie too! Hey, anyone remember when the crazy mod from one of the month boards came over here and went apeshit? And I got banned for telling her that pulling the "my mother died a few years ago" card was tacky and disrespectful since it had jacknshit to do with whatever we were discussing? Fun times.

Was it SoFla? Or was it before then? The SoFla invasion was about a year ago.

Edit: I remember the SoFla thing was about P&E making fun of them for throwing their own showers. And a girl who was sort of a P&E reg who was also a reg on SoFla started the whole thing and was disowned by both boards. BeachBride?

  • Wait, Stage, I just realized which Kevin Griffin is in your sig pic. The Better Than Ezra one, right? Was he nice when you met him? I met him once a few years ago, and quite frankly, he was a diick. But whatever though, I still have everything they've ever recorded and lurve them like whoa.

They're reeeeeeeally good live. They're from Baton Rouge, so they play at least one show a year here and I try to make it when they're in town. It's one of the best live shows I've ever seen. They're way fun.

  • That is so nice Stage!

My ex BF loved Better Than Ezra, Howie Day (old school) and Old 97s. So I guess I stopped listening to them for a while, but I really love them too.
