Re: Afternoon/evening/everything in between thread.

• It's been gorgeous here, Stlrz. So I believe you ;)

Nebb, it was pretty good! We didn't "survive" but we made it further than we thought we would with flags left. There was this giant water slide down a hill (basically about 100 feet down, at about a 60 degree angle) that was one of the most terrible things I've ever done (so much speed by the time you hit the water that it was like hitting a brick wall), but other than that, it was fun!

• I love that she was hoping it was him, even though she rejected him right before.

And I saw something that Guy doesn't really eat the whole thing. Sometimes he does, but mostly he takes a few bites. Still though, you can tell there are episodes where he does not care... lucky

It's not the Hawaiian version of it. I bet if you looked up the soundtrack it would be on there.
Petal - I think you will have a good time here, although none of the amusement parks will be open. It's too early for that. You could always take a bus to NYC for the day while you visit PA. It's 2 hours to midtown.
Posted by futuremrsbruno
I've never been there either. We tended to take the same vacations over and over so I never got to go anywhere different. I don't need theme parks. We have enough here.

You've Got Mail is on, again. Win! however, if I was smart I would get my lazy but up and put in my Blue Ray copy, the movie goes so much faster that way..

• Adam from Man vs. Food never cared what he ate either, but I'm guessing he was told by his doctor he was going to die if he didn't stop. The show just isnt' the same when he finds other people to do the challenges.

I love all those shows, but it's kinda ruined for me that whenever they have come to my hometown they do lame places. I want to know how they get their list of places that are the hot places in the area.

I love QT but I hate the Kill Bill series. Pulp Fiction is my all time most favorite movie ever. I can say all the lines with the movie like a freakshow.

• Nebb, was it Paranormal State? I think that's the only ghost story show I would watch from beginning to end, all because of my deep love of Penn State. Then I couldn't sleep at night.

Eagles - I can never ever get through an entire episode of that show! Ditto Ghost Hunters, although I do tend to get a little further into the episode.
There used to be a ghost show on A&E that always scared the hell outta me and a friend of mine at work told me a story on friday that made me think of it. Apparently his one child kept seeing an old woman in her room that was bothering her so the family held hands and had a little "ceremony" telling the ghost to go away. Now apparently the kid is seeing "bad little girls" in her room at night. Who knows if its real or not, but scares the hell outta me.
Posted by Nebb
Oh my god, that would scare the hell out of me. I mean, as an adult, I'd be looking for a new house, ASAP.

I usually watch Ghost Adventures Friday and Saturday becuase I'm a homebody. It drives H crazy because it's always the same thing. But I love it! And it scares the crap out of me when I'm home alone.

I cant remember the name but they basically recreated something that someone or a family woudl go through and there was always creepy music and they kept showing a representation of the ghost being all evil and bumping around.
• J, I'm not even the biggest fan of zombies, but that looks awesome. I already sent the website to my friend. It's about 4 hours from here (because PA has to be the widest state of them all, or at least close) but that would be worth the drive... I wonder if Pittsburgh plays that weekend, I wouldn't mind swinging over to finally see them in Pittsburgh

This. I would rather do something in the day or early evening. I like to be home so I can relax. I hate being out of the house on Sundays later than 5 because I want to spend my time at home before I have to go to work.

Did you drink every time someone dropped an F bomb? Because I'd be shitfaced after the opening scene.

So pretty please, with sugar on top, clean the fucking car.

• I do not ever want to see a ghost. Ever. It's why I never laugh at those who do. I'm perfectly happy without seeing anything!
• Thanks, J.

I, too, am pretty much a homebody. Most of my local friends all have small kids so that puts a damper on going out and doing anything. Although May is my favorite time of year in this town. 90% of the students are gone and it makes going downtown to eat/get a drink/shop/whatever so much more manageable.
• I don't remember what the game was. I think there was a list of stuff. Fuuuck was probably one of them, which would explain why I don't remember.

• I'm a sloppy drunk, so I try to avoid it. I'm also super lazy, which totally hinders me going out and doing things. Like a friend will call and be like "we're doing this really awesome thing!" And I'll be like....ummm...but....I'm busy, sitting on the couch. In my pajamas. And I'd have to put clothes and makeup on....so....well, no.

It always makes me feel bad when you can tell that Guy doesnt like where he is at or doesnt like the food, you can tell when hes joking for real and joking because he is supposed to. He almost makes little digs at the people too.
• I think it's funny that I would rather be at home than out. When I was single I considered being at home on a weekend a crime against humanity. And I could out drink everyone I knew.

Now, I'm the one my friends are prying off the couch, I'm generally home well before last call and $20 bucks will do me in. My Bachelorette Party is going to be just wild!

Theres this british ghost show called Most Haunted, it has like 13 seasons and they take a whole team into haunted places and do seances and watch for movement or listen for things. There have been a few times on that show I was convinced I SAW the ghost, and it nearly made my heart stop. The show always scared me but I always watched it.
• Oh yeah, Guy isn't the best at hiding that.

We used to play a drinking game with Eurotrip. Every time someone said Fromer's, I'm a girl or something else... we tried it once with Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, anytime they cursed. Drunk before we were 15 minutes in.
• I've gotten to where I don't go out unless I know a few days ahead of time. I just need to know in my head that I'm going to be out. Once I'm in my pj's, I'm done. I don't do well with the calls about meeting up in an hour.

Going out without planing it with FI is different. That's ok if it's just the two of us.

Yeah...in college? Last day of freshman year? My roommate and I put away an entire 1.75 of Captain Morgan by ourselves. And I was not even hungover (perhaps because I woke up still drunk). Now? Two glasses of wine and I'm like WOOOOO LOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Bruno, my bach party was at a bar and it was about two hours of hanging out. My two friends that came dropped me off at home (at my insistence) and then went out clubbing.

Hahahaha, that's awesome. I was the most sober person at the end of my bach party. But we went out dancing, and I never drink much when I dance.

• "i tried cyber sex once. All I got was a busy signal so I just hung up" - this is why I can watch You've Got Mail over and over again.

Edie, that will probably be me. Although, they will just put me in the limo and let me sleep. I went from being the life of the party, literally, my friends bought me a shirt that said that, to the old housewife. And I'm not even married, yet. It's okay though. I think about going out and get tired.
• Also, I would rather hang out with FI than other people. He doesn't get on my nerves like others people. If he does bother me, we have multiple rooms in the house that we can have our alone time or space.
