Hi Everyone! Long time Lurker, first time Evening thread Poster! I'm bored and H is camping. I succeeded at cleaning the house, and burning a pizza! Now You've Got Mail is on. I win.

Is dermabond like New skin? Eek is so! Stuff stings like a jellyfish!

Is this in reference to me breaking my face like a boss, or watching GSN like a boss?  Ha.

  • Same job, KJB, also same job as hurting my neck.  The neck was first, the broken face was second (a week before our e-pics, thank you photog for your excellent editing skills), and the being gnawed on like a chew toy was the straw that broke this camel's back.

  • KJB I had a random chicken breast out so I cooked it and then put it in pasta with asparagus and some vodka sauce.  It was a totally random dish but super delicious.

I love You've Got Mail.  I'm watching Mean Girls right now.  I feel like I should have let AbbeyS know it was on so she could get a freaking clue.

  • Hey ladies! Getting ready to head out, but first I need to get dressed and stuff.

I've never broken anything, but I did once pass out at the tanning salon, split my head open and had to get 10 staples. That wasn't at all embarrassing....

Eagles, you should call one day and cancel the Game Show Network ;)

    <div>Alright, it's gonna be kind of long...so I'm warning you now.</div><div>
</div><div>I'm gonna start off by saying the day before the pictures, I had worked a double at work (9-2 and then 5-1230) and was exhausted and had to get back up and go to work at 9 the next day.  I had originally asked for the day off, but my manager needed me to help train for a couple of hours in the morning, so I agreed.  My routine when I'm training is to get a Red Bull before work to help wake me up (this is important later).  I ended up getting off around 11:30--I had to be at the Hair/MUA by 2:30.</div><div>
</div><div>My mom had come up with the dress and met me at my apartment to come get me and take me to the MUA's apartment.  I grabbed my boots and ring, and the everything else I needed and we headed over there after getting something to eat.  My mom drove, and she was already stressed because she is not familiar with San Antonio, and the fact that I had to give her directions to this place just made it worse.  She relaxed for a little while I got my hair and makeup done (turned out awesome). And we got back on the road.</div><div>
</div><div>We stopped at hotel that my mom had reserved ahead of time and got me into my dress.   This is when the fun starts.  My mom is paranoid about this dress (as am I) because if we get it dirty and get it dry cleaned, we can't bring it back to the dress shop to have them store it.  One of the ladies there is deathly allergic to dry cleaning solution.  So it takes her forever to figure out my laced back.  And then after that, pretty much all I was allowed to do was sit on the bed.  I couldn't touch anything or move until we were ready to go.  </div><div>
</div><div>So we get in the car and drive to Gruene (where I had my portraits done).  The photographer said to meet at this restaurant between 6-6:15.  We get there right at 6 and the photographers aren't there.  She starts losing it.  I am standing in the middle of the waiting area at the restaurant with a sheet under me (to protect the dress), and listening to my mom go off about how the photographer is late.  I'm explaining to her that they said between 6 and 6:15.  Lo and behold, at 6:14 (literally), the photographers start walking up the pathway towards us.  She calms down and we get started.</div><div>
</div><div>About halfway through the shoot, I start feeling nauseous (Red Bull from that morning combined with the utter exhaustion from being up so late the night before). I sat down on a bench near where we were doing some of the pictures.  I drank some water and started feeling better, and they got a few more pictures in before the light started fading.  The picture that is in my sig was actually taken while they were waiting for me to feel good enough to stand back up and get some full-length pictures.</div><div>
</div><div>It was a long day.  On the day of the wedding, my mom and I are gonna have our moments together, but she is going to try and be around as little as possible so we don't bite each other's heads off.  </div><div>
</div><div><strong>CN:  Bridal portrait day was a long day because my mom was stressed, I wasn't feeling good due to exhaustion and a poor beverage choice that morning.  </strong></div>

H and I keep our myspaces because it's how we met. I go on it occasionally, then reality hits and I realize I have no idea how to use it anymore.

I always think I would suck if I actually got on the show too, J.

KJB, I can get on board with the Islamorada thing.  Always.

I read that as "gift from the heathens,"  which is also appropriate.
