Good Evening

Re: Good Evening

  • I feel like I need to write my parents a thank you note or something for having my wisdom teeth out while I was still in high school (and on their insurance).

  • My oral surgeon was an artist with my wisdom teeth.  I didn't have puffy cheeks, and I never took anything stronger than ibuprofen.

I'm still a little sore about the fact that Princess Kate got married after me. It seemed like that sparked a sleeve trend that I wish was present when I was dress shopping. The only sleeved dresses that existed then were pretty much those hideous LDS dresses.

<div>Thank you (:  I posted some particularly charming ones in last night's evening thread...but those probably aren't the kind you want to see (:</div><div>
</div><div>I've got them on a site that's difficult to get them off of at the moment- I have to pin them to pinterest then download the picture to post them.  I'll probably wait to AW until I have the disc and it's less time consuming.</div>

<div>H's surgery was the same way.  It was amazing.  Luckily for me, he went to my dentist, so whenever I get my three out it'll be a little less terrifying.</div>

Yeah, I didn't swell either (and I didn't even take the steroid they gave me for swelling, because I took one dose and wanted to DIE), and I only took my Vicodin at night, for my jaw, because sleeping on it really hurt (damn it TMJ).

However, I still have holes in my gums.  They were in there really far.

  • I get weird phantom pains from my wisdom teeth, like they're still breaking through the gums.

I only have one that is deep enough still for food to really get caught, but it's easy enough to get out with a toothbrush.  But I had to use my stupid little irrigation syringe for far longer than they told me I'd need to.  It was gross.  Stupid deep ass teeth.

  • Anna, mine didn't even show up on X-Rays until I was 21.  I thought I was lucky, and then they fuuucking came out of nowhere (I'm still not even sure how that works, but my dentist told me several times there were no wisdom teeth there).  My dad still has 3 of his.

<div>That happened to me too!  Except two of mine just showed up Wednesday.  fuckers.</div>
  • Hmm, my sister is only 24 so maybe she will still get them.

  • Wisdom teeth are shitty fucking asshole bullshit fuckers.  Are there any other curse words I can use uncensored?
  • I'm off to bed. Night, ladies.
  • I had a pretty terrible wisdom teeth removal experience. I got percocet for the pain. But I couldn't eat because of the tooth situation and I couldn't keep the percocet down on an empty stomach. So I kept barfing it up on top of the whole pain and bleeding situation. By the time we accepted that I couldn't handle the percocet all the pharmacies were closed. So I had to spend the first day and night effectively without any painkillers. Fucking nightmare, that.
  • What a nightmare, Daff.

I straight passed out the day after my emergency oral surgery.  Since it was a surprise, we didn't have anything in the house that didn't require chewing, so I hadn't eaten in 24 hours.  And I was home alone.  It was awesome.

Oh, that IS awful.  My H had to grind up my first Vicodin and mix it with pudding for me because I couldn't open up my mouth enough to swallow it without choking because of my TMJ, but at least I could take it!  I threw up when I took my gauze out, and that was so awful, I can't imagine doing it repeatedly and without any pain meds.  Eek.

  • It's bed time for me.  I'll probably have nightmares about oral surgery.
  • tits and ass, obviously
  • Hi guys, back from dinner. Rupert, your sister could still get them-mine showed up when I was 25-and like J, they were really deep. I also got dry socket, making the recovery a little more extended.
