Anyone around?

Sara, It was 3 days after our wedding.  I was driving to work and there was a flash flood from really bad rain.  The street I normally drive on was closed (with a cop not doing much except blocking the street).  I thought I could cut around through a neighborhood.  It was pouring and still dark out and I really didn't know where I was.  I pulled onto a street and all the sudden the water was up to my windows and my car stalled out.  Then the water started rushing in the car.  It was really scary, but I somehow managed to get out of the car.  A coworker lived a street away and I walked to their house.  His wife let me in and another coworker came and picked me up.  We went to work and my cell was dead, and I didn't know my H's phone #.  I had to call my dad to come and get me.

The car was totalled.  It was about a year old.  Fortunately insurance covered most of it and I was able to get a new car.

</div><div>Erin - I'd invest in a large roll of string/twine and roll it out to the length of your yard and then measure it, like 3 feet at a time against your tape measure.  I don't think a roll of string would be that expensive and measuring it would be much easier than trying to march around your yard with a tape measure and hope you match the ends up right.</div>

Well, even if I could drive the truck which has 13 gears I wouldn't be able to since I don't have my CDL. I am just along for the ride. I don't know exactly how long I will be on here. Until he gets routes through Atlanta again. Also I'm having a great time. Much more fun than I thought I would be.

We're home! The kitties didn't destroy the house while we were gone, yay! 

And, four packages were on the front stoop: 2 boxes of wedding glassware I got for super cheap on WC, my old lady orthaheel slippers (OMG, I love them already) and some glasses I ordered for the downstairs kitchen. ANDPLUSALSO, two more RSVP cards! I love the mailman.

I think it sounded sweet Wally.  And I LOVED getting RSVP's in the mail.  It made my day.  I miss the days when people sent real mail.  it's so much fun.  Maybe I should send more real mail in the hopes of receiving some...

<div>It IS such fun to get old-fashioned mail. Especially packages! Nerdy Girl got a letter from a friend at nerd camp, too, so she was all happy. Nevermind that this friend posts on FB and emails her frequently. I think it's neat they still write regular old letters. </div>

Wasn't Tailspin the spinoff of Ducktails with Launchpad McQuack as the plane pilot who crashes the plane. He's in Ducktails too.

POKEY!!!

I've been running errands all day since we're headed to the beach house tomorrow.  I can't wait. Naturally one of the errands was to the liquor store.  Food, sun screen,sho,rts etc.

How's the trip?  Are you having a nice time with your dad? Seeing our beautiful country and all that?

Ok, H and I figured it out.

Tailspin has Baloo.

Ducktails has Scrooge, Huey, Louie, and Dewy, and Launchpad McQuack.

Chip & Dale had their own show.

Launchpad McQuack was on Darkwing Duck as well which was the spinoff of Ducktails.

Whew.....I know we were ally dying to figure that out.
