Hey ladies, how's everyone doing tonight?

I just got down the shore a bit ago. My parents have friends over and I wish they didn't. It's been a crappy day and I really just want to be alone, or at least just not have company. Unfortunately, the internet here sucks and only works in the front of the house, so I can't use the computer in my room. Ahh well. Hopefully I can go to sleep soon.

  • Wally, I love that soup too. When I'm not feeling great, that's one of my favorite soups.
Lizzie, beach getaways with wine and a hot guy are pretty much the cure for almost everything. :) Hopefully, they'll be able to have the funeral by the weekend.

  • OMG hahahaha H is rather intoxicated and randomly started talking about his bachelor party.  He just told me that my oldest brother kept bugging him to go to the strip club while they were out to eat.  H kept saying "nah we are just eating and then going to hang at my buddies" and apparently my brother kept bugging him so finally H said "If you want to go to the strip club, go, and I will say we all went.  Eat chocolate if you want (my bro's wife had him on a diet).  Go to the strip club and eat chocolate, but we are staying here and then going to my friend's"

</div><div>I'm looking forward to the time...the kids, my nephews, a friend of the family and my FMIL are coming, too. FMIL, however is awesome with the kids, and has promised FI and I some kid free romantic beach strolls.</div><div>
</div><div>Is a half a case of wine too much to bring?  WIll I look like a lush?</div><div>
    </div><div>What do I care? Bwaaahahahahaha.</div>
  • Hockey, that's pretty funny. I'm not sure how much I want to know about FI's bachelor party. Actually, I just would prefer there isn't anything TO know. It's a majorly unpop op around here, but I'm really not cool with the strip club thing. I hope he just goes to a bar with his buddies and gets trashed.

  • That sounds like a nice time, Lizzie. And who cares if they think you're a lush! Hell, my relatives KNOW I am when it comes to vacation time.

well H is starting to get rambley now, so I am going to go to bed and read for a while.  Goodnight everyone.

<div>I bet I could. Pretty much every copy cat recipe I've ever tried has been great. But do you have to make the gnocchi from scratch? </div>

Me either TBH. <div>In the beginning his BM was pushing to go to a strip club. So I said "Well, would you two like if if me and BM's FI went to a strip club for mine? With lap dances and stuff?" </div><div>Then they were like "heck no, we're not okay with that." Okay...I guess you answered your own question then.</div>

<div>I have no idea if you have to make it from scratch.  I'd probably buy the gnocci at the store and call it good enough :).  Or make a triple batch and freeze some so I'd have lots for future uses.</div>

I'm pretty sure that you can buy some at the store pre-made.

<div>I will have to look. Some things are hard to find out here in the Styx! ; )</div><div>But making it from scratch and freezing it wouldn't be bad. </div>

  • I'm going to go take a nice long soak and head to bed.  All of the errands in this heat has just sapped my energy.

    Have a great evening, ladies!
  • H wasn't interested in strippers either which makes me happy.

Wally - sometimes they're in our frozen section, and we also have som refridgerated by the Deli section too.

<div>Thanks! Gonna have to go gnocchi hunting next time we head to the grocery store. NG would be in heaven if we made that soup at home. Me too!</div>

  • H's friend brought cheesecake for dessert.  I'm having chocolate raspberry.  From Cheesecake Factory.  Yum!
  • Wally, I found a good copycat the other day on a site I trust. You can use store-bought gnocchi-the Target brand is actually decent.

<div>You can get gnocchi at Target? That store never ceases to amaze me. Heaven is probably like a giant Target. Except no screaming, overtired kids crammed into shopping carts. </div><div>
