[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Happy Saturday Morning! : Because the landlord and dog owner are friends, landlord lives next door. Landlord and I share barn. Landlord also has horses out there. Landlord thinks it's funny that dog chases horses. It was a farked up situation and I spent many hours and tears over it and really couldn't get out of my lease, so I moved my mare to my friend's barn, and have kept my lease. I hate for the dog to suffer. Yes, I have a will that if I die and my husband passes at the same time or is unable to care for our two special needs cats they are to be euthanized. The other 5 will be rehomed.

[QUOTE]For real though. I want to run and adopt this dog myself. It is not their fault that they were taught to roam with no consequences. The penalty should be on the owners, not on the dog.

I will happily drive the farking dog halfway to whereever the fark you are. When do you want to meet?

The penalty should be on the owners, but they're well liked. He works for DOT and plows everyone's drives when it snows and has lived out there for years. I'm the new kid who rents and is pitching a fit over her horses maybe getting hurt. It was just not a happy situation. I considered macing the owners a few times at 3 am when I heard my horse screaming and had to get up and go deal with a freaked out sweaty horse running from the fuucking dog. I don't like the owners at this point, either. I'm the odd man out of the neighborhood. I think they're irresponsible louses who shouldn't own animals.

    Reading anything good?

I need to get a new charger for my nook. Somehow it broke and I haven't been able to read any of the books I purchased. Hopefully I'll remember to do that today while we are out.

They were just forcing me to remove my horses, which I couldn't afford to board two horses. And, forcing me to remove them that night. And, she was screaming at me over this in our front yard.

    It was really rough.

<div>I've been thinking about getting a nook or kindle, but I love having an actual book in my hand and turning the pages, haha. But it would be so much easier to just hit a few buttons and be able to read a new book right then. </div>
  • I understand that it is a difficult situation, but I don't think you should roll over and take it. What they are doing is seriously taking advantage of a power imbalance. Unless the cops sleep in the same bed as the landlord and owner, they should be neutral. I also don't think the landlord should be able to force your horses out because they are freakin friends with the owner.

  • I like that I can read my Kindle outside. The e-ink pages make for good reading in the sun.
  • Leisel - I do love holding a book but I enjoy the nook more than I thought. The problem is I purchase more books than I would normally since it is so easy.

Well, I have 6 weeks and the remaining horse and I will be out.

Landlord is a paralegal for a prominent local attorney family law attorney. I ended up consulting with an attorney an hour away to find out my rights.

I love my Kindle. My mother also loves my Kindle, she borrowed it for the trip to California and she's read most of my books on it (Stephanie Plum series, part of Sue Grafton, and I don't remember what else). She wants one now.

Coming from the girl with the wonderful wedding pics.

Everyone's pictures have been so amazing and beautiful. It makes me think mine are going to be blah. It doesn't help that everyone is so freaking pretty.

  • I've narrowed it down to 12 pictures. I haven't decided whether I'm going to use 1 picture or more than 1.

Luckily, it was easy to rule out a lot of the pictures because they aren't close up enough for a Save the Date.

I bought my mom a Kindle for her birthday last September. She finally started using it about a month ago because I got pissed that it was still in the box and put a bunch of books on it for her.

You can check out library books on Kindle at some libraries. I haven't mastered this, but I've heard about it.

  • Also, Eagles, I'm obsessed with paper products and stationery for weddings so I want to hear all about these programs you're making.  I'm not nosy or anything.
  • I think we are getting my little BM and flower girls personalized beach towels and a cup with a straw and lid that say their appropriate title. Not sure if we are doing anything else.

  • The more I think about it, I don't think I could do a Kindle or anything. I need to have the actual books. When my house burned down senior year of high school, I was kind of out of it and loopy and once everyone was out safely I kept crying about all my books being ruined. The firefighters did not know what to do with me, haha. It turned out all my books were damage free, though.
