It takes all personalities here. If not, we'd either be all asshats or all sunshine and rainbows, neither of which would work.
I confess that I am happy that H decided he simply cannot sleep in his mom's bed and that we will be getting a hotel room for the Thanksgiving holiday. I also confess to being annoyed by H's continued guilt over this. It's ridiculous! His mom is a very, very nice woman - she's not going to be devastated by this and H continues to act as if it's this huge, hairy deal.

I loved smoking when I used to smoke. And honestly, if it wasn't so bad for you, I would probably still smoke. I still enjoy one once in a great while if I'm out drinking and with a smoker. Oh yeah, LC reminded me: I confess I miss smoking. I especially miss drinking and smoking, together. Drinking is no fun without a cigarette so I haven't had a drink in months now. Sucks. But my hair smells nice and it's getting fucuking cold out now, so I guess it's good? But I still miss smoking.

Oh I completely understand. I smoked through college and the whole time I bartended, especially when you could still smoke in bars. I rarely felt any negative effects from it when I smoked. But now that I don't smoke regularly (I lterally have maybe 1 every 4-6 months), I feel like a chain smoked 2 packs. So its a nice reminder every once in a while why I don't do it anymore.

Yay you lasted a month? Is that what thats for? We try to go out once a week anyway, so we probably will end up going out on our monthly. :P
[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Confessions : I'm having the same problems with quitting smoking. I just can't make myself REALLY want to do it. In theory, yes, I like the idea. I'd save a ton of money and be way healthier. In practice, however, I freakin like cigarettes and quitting will be a bitch. And I know it'll take a few failed attempts.

I loved smoking when I used to smoke. And honestly, if it wasn't so bad for you, I would probably still smoke. I still enjoy one once in a great while if I'm out drinking and with a smoker. But then I always wake up the next day feeling like i have bronchitis from only 1, so I remember why I don't smoke anymore.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Confessions : I joked with DH that I'd make a half a cake for our half anniversary...like make a single layer of cake, cut in half, stack it, and only frost the one side. But I never did.

Is it okay if I make myself a half-cake for our 6 month, and send I pick of it to H while I eat the whole thing, and a bottle of champagne and/or wine? Haha cause that will probably be how I spend it.

I've been smoking for 6 years now, I so I think I probably don't realize how much better I would feel if I quit. I'm just used to the negative effects of it now so they're not really that pronounced for me, KWIM?

Oh I completely understand. I smoked through college and the whole time I bartended, especially when you could still smoke in bars. I rarely felt any negative effects from it when I smoked. But now that I don't smoke regularly (I lterally have maybe 1 every 4-6 months), I feel like a chain smoked 2 packs. So its a nice reminder every once in a while why I don't do it anymore.
