Haha LC, I will admit it seems somewhat out of character, except because you are from the south in my mind it doesn't surprise me at all that some older female relative would have wanted you to do it. For me it's not particularly out of character, but in CA it's not a big thing and comes across as super snobby I think - I was invited because my mom was involved in a lot of charity things and was friends with someone on the committee, not because I'm particularly high society.

I don't seem to have much in common with the girls on there or at least find the topics interesting. Most are getting married on 11/11/11 and seem to be way ahead of the game than me. They've been talking about their dresses for months and some have even brought them home. I don't even plan on thinking about dresses until sometime next year.
