I'm on the I-hate-that-I'm-a-smoker bandwagon... I quit in February but started up again in August. H keeps bugging me to quit again... as does my mother now who he apparently told this weekend (ugh)... but I'm having a hard time finding the energy. I hate smoking, but I also hate the thought of not smoking. I'm not sure which I hate more.

I know someone who smoked all through her pregnancy. When she was 18. How freaking long could she have possibly been smoking at age 18, so that it was impossible for her to quit for her baby?
kiki, I'm addicted to food as well. and when I start drinking, I don't stop. WHAM! that's three addictions for the price of one! I'm so lucky I never tried heroin.
Snippy- Not only did my sister smoke cigarettes throughout her whole pregnancy... but she smoked weed and continued to drink/party the entire time too. And then she wondered why the poor thing was born 7 weeks too early and had to live on respirators for the first 4 weeks of his life.
I confess I'm terrified to ever be pregnant (and not just because of the current discussion). My coworkers talk about being pregnant and the things they say do not want me to have one. I'm also kind of a hypochondriac and would probably freak myself out at any weird or abnormal things I was feeling, which would probably put me into a panick attack. Physically, I know I could handle having a baby, I just don't know that I could do it mentally.
