I have been to a couple strip clubs and I hate them.  They're trashy, the girls are usually coked out and mostly run by or most frequented by local drug dealers. This is in my area anyway.  Maybe it's different where you're from. The girls here get completely naked, <strong>they have sexual experiences together on stage (going down on one another), touching is allowed and pretty much anything else for a price</strong>.  I think what the previous poster was saying was that if it's not OK for H or FI to go into a private room at a party with a girl who takes off her clothes and grinds up on him then why would it be OK for him to pay for it to get done at a strip club.

• Also, I'm not sure if this is unpopular or not, but I wish that everyone was sterilized at birth and you had to apply to have it reversed in order to have children.

Obviously, it would be completely unconstitutional and the logistics of that kind of system are impossible, but from a standpoint that there are people who just aren't fit to be parents (like botox liar lady) and it's just sad that these kids have to deal with them.  Hopefully, they can at least kick up family planning/parenting education classes or something to help alleviate some of those issues.

<div>Well, naked girl in a social situation is likely looking to get laid, whereas stripper is, like Kiki said, getting paid to do a job and thus probably not wanting to screw him. </div>
• My UO is that I get irritated when women spout about men "oogling" women and how "degrading" it is.

If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on the cat. image

• Damn internet went down for a few.

Just want to say about the feminism/strippers being objectified:  I think the strippers actually have a lot of power over the men who come in.  The men are giving them THEIR hard earned money for just taking off their clothes.  Being naked seems like a very natural state of being to me, so I don't think it's weird or anything to see someone naked.

Well I apologize about strip club comment and I did not mean to ruffle any feathers. My view is very closed minded and I will admit that. I appreciate the alternative views and good points brought up. I appreciate it ladies!

• It's ok Aray, this is an unpopular opinion thread. It's the whole point.
• Dude, MissKate, where are you from? That is scandalous.

I don't think you have to have been to a strip club for your opinion on them to be valid. I agree that if you think it's some kind of model-filled orgy then you are wrong, but you can have a more realistic understanding of them and form an opinion based on that without every having gone to one. FWIW, I've never been (I'm not opposed, just haven't ever been), but I don't have a problem with them.
• Wow, MIssKate- um yeah, they don't do that here.  It's just topless.  There are fully nude clubs (only a few) and they can't serve alcohol.  Definitely no sex acts!

I think it's pretty popular with eugenicists.
• I think strip clubs are something that women will always have differeing opinions on.  I don't think just because you don't like them that it means you're insecure.  But even if you are insecure, and that makes you uncomfortable with them, I don't think that has any bearing on whether or not you should get or be married.  And if woman likes strip clubs, or doesn't mind their FI/H going, good for them.  Either way, nobody will ever see eye to eye on this, so who cares what someone else thinks?  If the thought of your H being around another naked woman makes you uncomfortable, then that's how you feel.

<div>Agreed. Party girl wants to get laid, likes your man, and/or wants to cause drama. </div><div>
</div><div>Strippers do a great job convincing guys that they like them/care, but all they want is their money at the end of the day. It is not usually personal. That said, they do tend to gravitate towards guys who are better looking, better dressed, etc, but again, that is usually more tied to the tip they hope to get than actual attraction. </div>
I'll admit to being someone who tries to add up what H and I ordered.  Because if the couple we went with ordered apps and a lot of drinks and we ordered cheaper entrees and I only drank water, I'm sorry, but I can't afford to pay for their stuff.  Not at this moment.  Back when we were both working good jobs, sure, no worries.  But these days we want to still be able to go out with friends and have a good time, but not break the bank.  More often than not, we just ask for separate checks at the beginning of the meal so it's easier.
Posted by FutureMrsTR
Yeah, we do this, too.  We don't drink and a lot of people we go out with do drink.  It can get expensive.

• I second Nuggets UO.

I went to a strip club that was like the one Kate described only the girls there were really pretty and not coked out. Needless to say it is a popular place. The girls there are no different from actresses. The people that come are there for a show, and the better they perform the more they get paid.

Yep I agree. Whatever floats people boats, as long as they dont judge others who are ok with it.

• I mean if it was a classy joint or a topless bar then yeah no biggie but yeah the clubs here are NASTY!

I waitress at a restaurant close to the club and 2 strippers were doing lines of coke in the washroom.  We had to call the cops and kick them out.

We also have a shower on the stage... but I've never seen it in use.

• I will say that I don't have a problem with H going for a bachelor party or something, but if he was just choosing to go randomly and spending money for ridiculously priced drinks and to see naked women just for Friday entertainment, yeah I would have a problem with it.

I have been to make and female strip clubs (both in Canada) and yeah I've seen what MissKate described.  And there was alcohol there.  Also, a girl I was friends with in high school used to hook up with one of the male strippers (disgusting I know), so I know it happens.  That's why I don't care if you have a problem with them, and I don't care if you don't.  I completely understand both opinions.

I just question sometimes if this is the truth when I see girls on here going "OMG!!!!! He's going to a STRIP CLUB!"
• Where I come from, strippers take off all their clothes. ALL of them. And lay on the stage with their legs spread, they make a cone out of a poster, and you throw money in to the cone (which is usually rested up against their vag)...And then they lay there and spread it with their fingers and such.

And none of it bothers me if my H goes...

Thank you. I will never judge because one of my biggest outlooks on life is that <u>everyone has a story</u>. I don't know the men/women and I have made mistakes in my own life that lead me to be less critical of people living their lives the best they can.
