Re: Tuesday Night

  • Edie: yup!  (i checked the balance online).

I think in MA there is a 5 year minimum.
  • Gah I wish J would get here. He picked up more dog food on the way home and I think Willow just attempted to eat my face as a way to tell me that she is hungry.

  • Um, here's some good news! H's little brother works for a farmer that had a 'broken' 42 inch LCD flat screen. The farmer gave it to my BIL, who gave it to us. H is working on fixing it now and it looks like it should be working shortly. So, sweet deal for us.

Hockey that is awesome about finding the gift certificate, even more so since the amount can still be used.

  • OH, gross MuSu.  I hope you feel better soon!  No, I don't watch Bunheads.  I won't do it just based on the name alone.

So somewhere, in my stuff that is EVERYWHERE, I have a silicone swim cap.  I know that I do.  But I can't find it, which means I have to wear my stupid latex one, which is unhappy-making.

Has Willow been doing bath salts?

  • J, your sig just reminded me that I haven't seen Holly in a while. Where has Holly been?
  • Bunheads looks stupid. But I do watch PLL!
  • Ya...H was a bit annoyed when I told him "Who loses a gift card for two years?", but I apparently must have gotten for complaining about something to the company and it was in an envelope with other random mail that had been shoved in a bag.
  • Evening everyone. Today was a long day. I guess the 2 week mark is when everyone starts to bug you about cancelled wedding to-dos. It didn't help that one of the babies, L, cried his lungs out for the better part of the day. I'll probably go read the thread I started earlier again.
  • Haha J, its a drama/comedy on ABC Family about a ballet school. The acting and writing is terrible. It reminds me of Gilmore Girls, which is like nails on a chalkboard to me so there's that.

I legitimately laughed out loud Adamar, at the bath salts comment.

  • Aww Aryn. I'm sorry. Stay busy and things will get better.
  • My husband is now trying to bargain with me to not go swimming.  I have been looking forward to it all day.  I don't think so.  This is not happening the way he wants it to.

  • Aryn, I put a great hug on my list in your thread.  And since I'm a hugger, I'm sending a great one your way.  I've been where you are (minus the crying baby) and it sucks, even if it's for the best.

<div>I knew I was forgetting to complain about something! I am used to being super busy and like it that way. I need to figure out a way to make new friends here so I can have something to do after work. I basically come home and just sit around and watch tv. It was cool for a day or two but now I'm over it. </div>
  • I'm sorry Aryn. :( Like Girlie said, it is for the best, but it doesn't make it any easier.

</div><div>Busy is key when you're in a situation like that. I can't imagine being a new city and trying to work through everything. You should join a gym or take a class for something. You need to get busy. ;)

  • Um, Aryn, you know that you have a friend who lives LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES AWAY.  BIYOTCH.

    Hi everyone else!
  • Leftovers it was.  I'm too tired to deal with going out.

I need to do laundry and set up for the kittens.  I got the call that they were successfully fixed and cleared by the vets, so I get to pick them up tomorrow.  Let's hope that I don't get a flat or other chaos since tomorrow will be crazy busy and somehow I will have to drive to get them during business hours.
  • Heh, bath salts.

J, swimming sounds amazing in the heat. We have a pool in the neighborhood, but the bratty next door kids are there. Boo.

Thanks for the reading material advice Girlie, got a good chuckle out. :)

    We're Married!! And I couldn't be happier!
  • Yay for kitties Mica!

  • Aryn,

I hope things get better for you.

I took some classes at Michaels right after I moved up here, I heard it was a great way to meet people. It was a miserable fail. I met my friend in the Goodwill and I met some other friends on CL looking for roommates. None of the roommate situations worked out, but we remained friends.

However, I suck at making friends and end up being a terrible friend due to work.

  • hahah H put ALF on tv.....

20 minutes in and my response was "I can't believe I used to love this show"

  • Yay for kitties finally Mica!

Aryn, you've got Muni 5 minutes away?!  Get thee over there girl!  Oh, and if you enjoy yoga, I can hook you up with the best teacher in Raleigh (that's where you are right?).  Actually met her on my month board here and she's awesome.

  • Aryn-- Have you looked at meetup.com? I don't know about your hobbies, but I've found a stay at home mom group on there and also a doggy playdate group. Its worth a shot!

  • Eags, she's a toolface.

Guys, my H is a good negotiator.  I get a massage and dinner from my favorite mediterranean restaurant, and we're swimming on Thursday.

  • MuSu, so bunheads is a no-go?  I set up Tivo to record it, but it has yet to do so.  I wonder if it conflicts with something else . . . .

Pheagles, your FSIL sounds incredibly frustrating.  Your FI needs to grow a pair.  LAME!!

I'm still at work trying to wrap some stuff up.  Unfortunately senioritis kicked in full gear this afternoon.  I was productive for the last few hours though.  Time to do some more . . .
  • I enjoy Bunheads.  It isn't Great Television, but Sutton Foster and Kelly Bishop are delightful.
  • What is PLL?
