[QUOTE]In Response to Re: FFF : I agree with you on this on panda.  My oldest son LOVED to run when he was little, especially in crowded stores.  I had a leash/harness thing for him - had to.  When a parent commented about it, I would say "Tell you what - I will unhook him when you take that hideous looking pacifier out of your 4 yr. old's mouth." He hid from me in a Kmart once and I did not find him for 10 minutes!  I was shaking so bad, petrified that someone had grabbed him.  He was hiding on a shelf behind some diaper boxes.  He laughed until I yanked him outta there and spanked his butt and strapped him into the cart.  His father had set him down "for just a moment" and he was gone.

It really wasn't their fault.  They would close their eyes to sneeze and I'd be gone.

  • I'm also flaming people with the day off today!    I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs because the MAJORITY of our clients are off today.

I'm also flaming myself today - I have so much to do before tomorrow night, and I'm DEFINITELY not feeling it.

  • hmmm... I guess I can give a confession - a friend of mine is busting her ass working out hours and hours a week and went on a very strict diet, and is therefore losing weight and getting fit like whoa.  She was bigger than me, but now we're about the same size.  I need to lose 50lbs to be healthy, and I'm feeling jealousy toward her for her fitness, even though I know she's trying about a million times harder than me.

    Birdie- I am sorry :(

    Missy! Congrats, that is awesome!!!

ETA- congrats about the job offer, not the worrying! I am sure it will work out! :)
  • I think it's bullshiit to get on MLB player for taking one day off to be with his wife. I love me some baseball but I much rather see a player with his wife and their newborn than on a pitching mound. I understand that it could mess up their rotation since pitchers need a certain amount of time to rest and to get back to pitching but come on. His child was being born.
  • My knee is sore this week. I flame that.

I flame loopy for using "rediculous" in a post earlier this week.

I confess that I had to abort my run halfway through yesterday and walk the rest of the way because my tampon got knocked loose.

I confess that I'm thoroughly irritated about having to go to MIL's for Easter brunch tomorrow at 1pm. I love MIL, but ffs does it have to be smack dab in the middle of a Saturday? I have shiit to do, dude.

<div>Yeah that would drive me nuts.  That's a shitton of overdraft fees, that freaking blows.  Do you have a savings account with the bank that you can use as a backup for the checking so it automatically pulls from savings instead of charging you fees?</div>

  • Oh, Birdie.  :(  Grieve as you need to grieve, and don't be ashamed.  I'm sending you a hug from CA.

I confess that I don't feel like flying to Tampa next weekend, I'm not psyched to move any longer, and I can't believe I'm willingly taking a 50% pay cut to do this move.  50%.  Think about that, people.

I confess that our sex life sucks right now because H is freaked out that NFP doesn't actually work as birth control.

    Thanks.

I haven't accepted it yet. I have to let her know by Monday. I am just a little stressed right now figuring how everything is going to work out. I am likely loading my car up  with just the stuff I need and moving back before H.

I am in the middle of packing up all my dishes and things now. So we will be eating on a lot of paper plates for the next month or few weeks.

That sucks!!! We have our bank to just deny us if we don't have enough in our checking. Yeah it is embarrassing but at least we don't have to pay a shiit ton for a damn candy bar!
  • I'm mad that I stupidly tried to compromise on the location of our ceremony and then reception to make FIL's happy and now my guests will be driving 45-55 mins between the two.  Granted my fault, but I was really trying to please everyone and now I realize that's never possible.

I'm bumming I have to work todaywhen I work for a stock market company and NYSE is closed.

I'm also upset at myself b/c I've been trying to eat better/workout since the beginning of February and I still haven't lost a pound!  (may have actually gained a couple  :(  )

Oh ditto on this.  I also flame FI for not keeping track of his money and so the $300 he contributed to our wedding (I've saved almost all of the 10K myself and yet feel guilty when I ask him to contribute more) I just had to give back to him b/c he overdrafted by over $200!

I totally feel you on this one. I think I am going to be this weight forever and while I still work out and eat really healthy, I just can't freaking lose it.
  • I confess that since Nuggs mentioned McDonald's, I now want that for lunch instead of my healthy soup that I brought with me. Mmmm, french fries. Wonder if the boss will let me leave to get lunch?

And this is why my clothes don't fit.

    What is NFP?
  • mica - I can totally relate. I did exactly that when I moved here to be with H. And even though I have this job offer back home, it is still not what I was making before I moved. I know the economy sucks and all, but come on people? Can't people earn a freaking living?

    Natural Family Planning.

Catholics don't believe in artificial birth control so this is a practice that is accepted by the Church that is based on charting and paying attention to normal bodily fluids (hope that is not TMI).

Totally this. I insist that I am on a diet, but I cheat.... a lot. Usually by the time I get home, one of my friends wants to meet up for dinner and I can almost never resist. I have no willpower and my clothes are way too tight. Blah.
  • Sowwwie Birdie, I hope 3:30 comes quickly and you can go home to snuggle with the doggie.

I flame this stupid instant messenger my work made mandatory because now not only does my boss harass & bully me via e-mail but I have the JOY of instant messages from him as well.  Yay.

That's what I do. I think I'm eating healthier and making a change, but then I end up snacking too much or one meal I'll grab fast food. I can't get serious about it for some reason.

  • Missy, I am sure it will all work out! At least you do not have to be around that d-bag of a boss anymore.
  • FUUCK WAPA. That is our power company who just went down in the middle of me cooking lunch. Chicken and pasta which BTW the chicken costs like $10lb. Bastards. And I'm hungry. Whole island is shut down so no where to really go.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Definitely true. I am just glad that I quit when I did b/c if I accept this offer then I would basically end up leaving with a week to go in the school year and I would feel even worse than leaving when I did.

I also confess that instead of cooking a turkey for Easter, my mom and I are going to pick up rotisserie chicken at Boston Market.  H is in charge of making the mashed potatoes and those are going to be the most complicated things on the dinner table.
