Spa, I assume that your boots are doubling as your "something blue?" I think they're cute.

Also, hi everyone! I'm back from the purgatory known as "too much work and not enough time oh and also I've been sneaking in job interviews every chance I get (please don't tell my boss)."

And breast-feeding mom on the cover of Time is disconcerting, for sure, but I can't even envision breastfeeding my own tiny little infant child, so I'm clearly not cut out for "attachment parenting."

And food pins? I must see this now. I got on Pinterest a few months ago, became slightly obsessed, then dropped off almost completely. I've been wanting to go back but am really afraid.

Ditto this. I felt the same way about that salon in NYC or wherever that used the battered women for their ad campaign. What they did worked--people were talking.

I know this horse is probably long dead, but I'm super irritated that I can't read FFF. I left in the middle and I wanted to read the rest. Fuckers.

I think Mery holds her same view of thin people as she does of white people who claim they have experienced racism.

White people cannot possibly experience racism, and thin people could not possibly have weight/body image issues. Maybe. I don't really remember the details.

She posted a thin privilege thread that made me want to puke the one leaf I ate for lunch because clearly skinny people don't eat. And saying that a thin should eat a sandwich is ok. Yup. Hypocritical because she was on the more elusive side in the espresso machine thread but that was ok.

Hey everyone!

We were going to go to a movie tonight, but we just had dinner and then played around with the resistance band, doing different sets of exercises, so we might be dead.

I remember the thin people can't feel bad about themselves debacle. Blegh.

I know you've moved on, but Hockey, I don't blame you for not going to the prom. The kids elected me as a chaperone, so I'm going, but it's always delicious food and good music, so it's not too bad.

JK I think it's the same recipe, but I didn't get it from you. I got it from my dad years ago. One time I tried making them with margarine instead of butter though. Don't do that. Ever. They came out chewy kind of candy like. H liked them, but I was disappointed.
