  • Fezz- I swear every time I see that pic in black and white it looks like K is laying in some kind of manger. Like he's Jesus.

And Eagles- I'm taking my second bar because H got a great job in CA and we moved after I had already taken OH. I blame him for my suffering.

  • Angel if I can have a job I like as much as the one I'm doing now, law school will be worth it. Thank God.

  • Eagles, H has taken two exams and he refuses to take another one too. And he actually just let his VA bar membership lapse so we are stuck in Florida foreva. Good thing I like it here.

  • Birdie I'm starting the C25K in July, but I've been walking every day before work and again at night for the past week or so in order to prep myself for needing the stamina to actually get through the running once I start.

That happened to me once and I finally figured out it was because I didn't have enough "i"s in biiiiitch. Posted by angelstar975[/QUOTE]Oooh I think you're right. I'll try one last time. Here's what I was trying to say:

MP, I was trying to quote you, but the mobile site crashes if I do. Sorry if it's confusing.

Yeah, as far a I can tell it's whatever they have him on now that's doing it. They gave him a three day epidural during the surgery, so he seemed completely normal when I was there, but it wore off the next day and now he's loopy and confused when I talk to him on the phone.

DH is having a hard time understanding why his state is so upsetting to me, but I've never seen my dad vulnerable or in any state of intoxication, and it's freaking my shiiiiit out. Ugh. I think you hit it on the head with the "it's not my grandpa" thing.
  • Do you have to take the bar in every state you want to work in? That sucks balls. I'm glad H doesn't have to retake any tests and just has to pay Indiana and insane amount of money to get an Indiana architecture license.
  • Fezz: he is so stinkin cute!!!!!!
  • Midge, i like the new sig pic. That hairpiece is perfect with your hair.

  • Fezz, how's Kane sleeping for you?
  • Bless you, Angel. I will always remember to say shiiiiiit, fuuuuuuuck, and tiiiiities from now on. On that awkward note, I'm going to duck out for an hour to see my last client. I double dog dare everyone to curse with lots of vowels in the mean time.

My dad said after 10 years, you can waive into any state, so he would never have to take it again as he's been practicing law for like 30some years.

  • Stlrz, so far he's sleeping good.  I'm sure it will change once he's out of the sleepy newborn stage.  But I'm hoping he continues to be a good sleeper.

Yes, Eags.  Love that color.  Hawt.

  • Birdie- some states don't make you, but you have to have been practicing for a certain numbe of years before they let you do that. And CA is pretty ridiculous about their admissions so yeah, I'm taking it again.

It depends, Birdie. Within a year, most states will accept another state's bar exam and waive you in. If it is more then a year, then like after 7 years you can waive in. But some states are different and the exact year always varies. It is pretty lame.

Yes and no. Some states have reciprocity agreements so you can waive in if you have passed the multi-state portion of the bar in another state and/or have practiced for a certain number of years. And if you work for the feds you just have to pass one exam, doesn't matter which state. Also DC will let pretty much anyone waive in, so H was in there without taking an exam. Some states like Florida are assholes though and have no reciprocity agreements so if you want to practice here you have to take the FL bar.

  • Yep Eagles.  I've threatened H to hook it to his balls and up the voltage if he doesn't stop giving me noogies at 5:30 in the morning.  :)  Glad you have one though, at least for me it helps at least a little.

  • MuSu- what states are you looking at taking it in? If I remember, you and your H are long distance right now, right? Or am I totally off.

Every once in a while I think about what my life would be like with my ex who makes shitloads of money, lives in a high rise in Miami, and takes last minute weekend trips to Barbados. But I am happy with my life an my H too. It would be cool if we went to Barbados more though.

</div><div>We're semi LD. He goes to school 2 hours away from here but comes home on the weekends. For the summer, he's home. He graduates in Dec though so he will work til I'm done in May. He wants to go to grad school so we are looking at schools for him to start fall 2013. Depending on what school he chooses, kind of determines where I take the bar. Right now the possible states are: MN, SC, LA(God forbid -- that one scares me the most), MS, TX or HI.  </div>

  • I think it's only natural for people to wonder "What if". I'm still friends with people I worked with at my first job and we talk about wishing our store hadn't closed. I probably wouldn't have met my H then though and that is much better than having my grocery store opened.

This movie is all kinds of effed up.
  • Hey everyone. I am beyond exhausted and probably should go to bed early. But I know I will end up reading or catching up on my trash tv. Fezz, baby Fezz is ridiculously cute. I am certainly finding myself looking forward to starting a family more than I thought I would!

Oh gosh... I don't have any exes who make/made that kind of money. Not legally, anyway. I'd be living in some dumpy small town somewhere, or maybe on an Army base. Absolutely nothing that I would even consider trading what I have now, however.

I do get daydreamy when I think about what could happen if I met someone on my celebrity free pass list. Traveling, adventures, money... It's fun to think about sometimes.

  • Hiya!  Just got done treadmilling my way to 3 miles.  Walking.  It too damn hot to walk outside but I need to do something.

I use Chrome at home, and work has FF and I'm not a huge fan of FF.  I find it annoying.  If I was used to FF I'd probably find Chrome annoying though.

My boss is out for the next 3 days, so I'm hoping TK Mobile works all right on my phone as I usually have lots of TK time when my boss is out, but I don't want to do it on my work computer.
  • My prof just informed us that our test from last week had 2 errors so I actually only got one wrong. Sweetassaction.
