Re: Sunday evening...

  • I'm with you KJB, moist is one of my least favorite words.

It pains me to type it.

EXACTLY! We couldn't have your kind in there! We would have lost by even more if any of your red blood had been there. But trust, you shouldn't be pissed. I was there for 9 hours. That was stupid.

[QUOTE]Birdie, my uncle has a house on Rough River...we always have to take beer. The first time we went I was totally flabbergasted that dry counties still existed!

ACTUALLY, if we're referring to college basketball, my blood would be poop brown and pee yellow. :-P But FI would be red (I think).

I can't believe you guys were there for 9 hours. Didn't your butts get tired? I would be trashed by the end of the game.
  • Andy, you're making me shudder.

  • My dog is sleeping with her tongue sticking out.  It's so ridiculously cute.
  • Yeah, my butt was super tired. I ached all over by the end. I actually only had one beer. I started feeling icky around hour 4, so I didn't drink. I just took my Kindle and played on my phone. It went surprisingly fast actually.

  • i am pretty jealous of you guys who have liquor stores inside supermarkets. i got all giddy when the new A&P by my house did this, and it was all of like 3 years ago.

  • So opening day for the Bats is on Thursday. It's also Thirsty Thursday with $1 beers before game time. FI and I are planning on going if it's nice. You guys should come too!
  • I'll ask him about it! You know, I have yet to make it to a Bats game.

<div>:(  I woke her up when I went for my camera, and now her tongue isn't sticking out. </div>
  • I think I've only been to one game that wasn't on a Thursday. I get tickets through work, so that's when we usually go. They were already taken for this week's game, but we want to go anyways.

I mostly get drunk and people watch. I'll catch a pitch or two. Fi watches the game though. :)

Ozzie runs after rabbits and stuff in his sleep a lot. Every time it happens I think to get the video camera, but never do!
  • You ladies are still here?  Our fondue was delicious, and now I'm grossly full.  We are watching Seven and enjoying some drinks.  Raspberry vodka and crystal light lemonade is DELICIOUS!  And it puts me in a summer state of mind.

  • Darn it, dnb.  I was enjoying my brownie, but now I want cheese.
  • ummm, dnb, can i switch places with you for tonight?! your night sounds amazing! now i'm in the mood for fondue and raspberry vodka-lemonade!

  • I've never had fondue. I feel like it would be right up my ally because of my love affair with cheese, but FI doesn't share this same obsession with me so we never really go.
  • H loves cheese, but he's never expressed an interest in fondue.  :(  I used to live near a couple that had fondue parties: cheese fondue for the appetizer, shrimp and filet fondue for the main, and chocolate for dessert.  And lots of wine to wash the richness down.  Oh, I miss living there.

  • Birdie I have tried convincing H to take me to the Melting Pot forever (before we moved here because we had one near us before).  He always refused to go because he says "I'm not paying all that money to cook my own food."  We have done fondue a few times at home with our pot though.  When we were in Whistler he had the itch to do fondue, so our first night there we went to a restaurant that had it and did the full 3 courses, and he was in love!  Cheese, then the broth for the meat, and then the chocolate one.  Sooo good.  But definitely not cheap.

  • One of my friends has a chocolate fountain that they take around to all of our friend's bridal showers, but it's the biggest PITA to clean after the party.

  • We had a hell of a time finding the fondue fuel today.  We had to throw out our bottle from before because the movers wouldn't move it.  We ended up settling for the little canisters to go under chaffing dishes, and it was pretty flammable, so the bottom of our cheese was definitely burnt.  But still awesome.

  • I've been to two of the Melting Pots in Washington and DH and I love it. We went back in August for our anniversary and the lady even brought us a sparkling cider toast to celebrate since she knew I was pregnant.

  • Where are the closest ones to your Ciara?  I feel like when I last looked they were really far away.  But it was also before I knew the area.
