Re: FFF

  • Still catching up, so I'm sorry if this discussion is over, but... Seesaw, I'm posting from an iPad right now, and I'm pretty sure my post makes sense. Just sayin'.
  • If a bride kicks a bridesmaid out of the wedding, the bride is supposed to pay her back for the dress, correct? A friend of mine just got kicked out of a wedding and doesn't know if she should bring this up with the bride or not.

I envy you for getting out there and running as much as you do. I used to run 5 miles a couple times a week & I thought it was such a huge accomplishment lol, I doubt I'd be able to get up and run a marathon.

I would think the bride would have to pay for the dress unless the BM did something insanely horrible (murder someone, cheat with the groom lol).<div>
</div><div>edit/ I definitely think your friend should talk to the bride about paying her back. </div>

Yeah, I would definitely be bringing this up.  She definitely needs to get her money back.

  • Cfas, this is why I'm nervous about beginning training in August.  I think that DH and I are going to run a half in November.  Maybe it'll cool off by the time we have to get to serious mileage.  I'd suggest going to the gym, but the most that I've run on a treadmill is five.

Your friend should definitely be asking for the money back - but if the bride is dense then I agree that the conversation isnt going to go very well. <div>
</div><div>How close to the wedding did the bride ditch the BM? Would she be able to give it to another BM who hasnt already gotten her dress?</div>

  • Cfas, that's a great way to look at it.  When is your half marathon?  What is your longest distance on your training?  I did the Hal Higdon last time.  The longest run was 10 miles.
  • Im sorry about the kittens Mica! I would be really disappointed as well, hopefully you get them sooner than they think!

Leisel - I'm interested in this story as well lol

  • Mica, that's a bummer!  Are you getting more than one kitten?  I've heard rumors of their cuteness, but I missed any pictures that you have posted.
  • Sorry about the kittens Mica.
  • Oh, I have a flame! I flame MillieMae for having a hissy fit when everyone didn't jump on board with her about the etiquette in the movie Bridesmaids.
  • Cfas, that's exciting!  I was amazed that my body could do the half marathon.  I fully believe that just about anybody could do it.  Now, I need to get my butt in gear to improve my time for the next race.

    <div>I don't know who that is.</div>
  • MillieMae is back? Am I the the only one who thinks she got all dramatic just so she could apologize and garner attention?
  • I'm getting two kittens.  I don't have pictures of them (silly me, I know).  I have links to their original pictures when they were found, though, and they are ridiculous.

H and I were up last night dreaming up names for them, so I am more than a little disappointed that they are still in foster purgatory.  Also, this weekend would be the perfect time to socialize them with Berkeley since I'm home all weekend (as opposed to working during the middle of the week).

Edie- Nebb DID say she was doing it, but I think she is putting extra in the account to separate that from her other savings (If I interpreted that right). But in general, that girl uses a lot of generalizations.
