ABE is the airport code for Allentown.

I thought I remembered that. I think I was actually going to fly in there since it was not too far from Philly and Allegiant flies there so you can get cheaper airfare. I really did have it planned out.

• Definitely smells, Edie.  Yum.

Bruno, also write down anythign weird that you saw/smelled/felt/whatever before it started.  I figured out my warning signs that way, and now I can ward them off.  I haven't had a full blown migraine in 3 months thanks mostly to that.  I smell vanilla and cigarettes (like, olfactory hallucination, so weird), and my jaw and neck usually get tight when I'm ramping up to a migraine.  So good to know, because I can take something as soon as I notice that stuff now.

• I used to get really bad tension headaches all the time.  I call them tension heachaches because they were in the back of my head and neck like those are supposed to be, but people have told me they are probably migraines because when I get them I can pretty much only sleep for a while to get them to go away.  When I was seeing a chiropractor in WA and getting adjusted twice a week they completey went away and I felt a million times better.  But it was just getting too expensive since our insurance won't cover it so I stopped going.  I don't get them nearly as often anymore but still once in a while.

• A lot of people do fly into Allentown from the smaller airlines because they tend to fly there direct, at least more than the bigger ones do. You can hop on the highway right next to the airport and be at least on the outside of the city in about an hour. Depending on where you are going in Philly, it's longer than that...

Well, it has been going for about 3 hours, so there's that.  It's why I love the night threads over here...they just keep going and going and going.  The ones on SB always seem to be petering out when I come around, and then they pick up right when I'm leaving.
J does your new gluten free diet help with the migraines or is it other unrelated symptoms it helps?
Posted by edielaura
Gluten isn't a migraine trigger for me, but it does trigger "normal" headaches, which then sometimes turn into migraines, so it does help in that sense.  There are a bunch of unrelated things too that it helps.  Plus, I sleep better when I'm not eating gluten, which helps me not get migraines also!

• this does seem to be the lively thread going tonight. I posted some actual questions on the Ceremony and DIY board and it's like crickets over there...

Although, Buckley is STILL going on about the whole Rehearsal Dinner on I think the Customs and Traditions board. I couldn't help myself and popped in on that one for a little....

This March wouldn't have been too bad, but generally speaking anytime between late-October and mid-April is too unpreditcable IMO.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has headaches all the time! Smells, humidity, sounds, the lump in my neck. Anything out of whack and it's headache time. I've also learned to pop a pill or sleep before a migraine sets in.

• I have noticed that I feel slightly off before I get a headache. Like sometimes I get a brief bout of dizziness, and other times I feel a little pressure in my head.

As for smells, that may be a little more difficult since I work in a school and at a restaurant. There are smells at school we still can't identify. But I will definitely try it. It would be good to know when I'm going to get one.

Petal - March in PA is unpredictable. Some years it's mild, some it's windy and rainy, some years we get a late blzzard and sometimes it's a little bit of everything rolled together. I wore a t-shirt out bar hopping for St. Patrick's day, and was bundled up 5 days later.

Yes.  Which sucks, because evenings and weekends are the only time I've been able to really post lately.  I don't mean to abandon SB but nothing is ever going on when I'm actually around, and I don't ever have anything interesting enough to say to start a thread.  It's far easier to just pop over here onto E's chat threads.

Hmm. Well, I will just have to hope for nice weather or at least no blizzards. March is when my break is so that is when I would be able to go.

The nights/weekends thing is why I rarely post on SB. I really like everyone over there, but I don't have time to post during the day. I end up lurking because I'd end up P&R-ing 99% of the time.

She really doesn't. And yes, that's the khaki's girl. Apparently, she has random posts all over various boards. None of them seem truly appropriate questions for where they are posted and she seems to either get the whole board to agree with her, or everyone gets annoyed. Although, I do think yesterday was the first time she encountered what we threw at her.

They all sound the same too, nothing really major, and always, always about the in-laws... does make for some good entertainment when you are bored.
• You love us J, just admit it.

I'll go check out SB when it's boring or slow here, but it's usually just as boring and slow over there at those times.

Certainly seems that way. I dont like going out at night on the weekends generally, I like to veg at home and watch movies or tv so Im around but it seems like most people arent which makes things super boring.
• I wish I could post during the day but it's very rare that I have the opportunity or time. I always find interesting things that I would like to comment on but the thread is always dead so it's pointless.

Petal, my sister planned her bridal shower for the first weekend in March knowing full well that two of her bridesmaids (who happened to be her sisters) were driving up from the Carolinas the day before and driving back the day after.  The week of the shower the weather forecast showed major rain storms for our route on Friday and major snowstorms in the area on both Saturday and Sunday.  Needless to say, we didn't end up going and from what I heard, the snow kept a lot of people away from the shower.

• Lately it seems all the boards are dying early. I was heavy on the DIY board a few weeks ago and that one was blowing up, and for the last week it's been a ghost town. I'm thinking everyone is starting to get into summer mode, which makes me kind of sad. This is a wonderful escape.
• You know what's amazing?  When you forgot that you had rewound part of a movie so you get to hit live and completely skip a commercial set.

I really hate when really hopping threads happen during the day, cause i either have to go on using my work computer (which I hate doing, cause im paranoid) or spend an exorbinate amount of time trying to keep up on my phone. More drama needs to happen at night lol
