• Also? I hate the word "cukes." It is just not a pleasant sound.
• Ew, Bec. I usually wash all produce too (unless I get it from the local farmer's market from some reason. It just seems like it would be cleaner. That's probably a lie) I think I need to start using a mild soap to clean them too.
I'm offended by women who get uppity about having a 'natural' birth (meaning drug-free). I had demerol when my daughters were delivered, and those births weren't any less 'natural' than someone who went drug-free. If someone chooses to go drug-free, that's great; the type of pain relief in the birth plan is a choice every pregnant woman makes, but it doesn't make my deliveries unnatural compared to theirs.

I don't really care about who or what might have touched the food I eat, I just know that they've done studies and washing alone is not enough to get harmful bacteria off if it IS there. In my lifetime I've never gotten sick from it so its a risk I'm willing to continue taking. We've become far too sterile as a society. Dirt, germs and bacteria are something we SHOULD be in contact with.
• Wow, I'm late to the party as usual.

Morning ladies!

Nothing new here, ready for this weekend to start. I plan to work on H's B-day present since he's gone this weekend. I'm going to make him a shadowbox with his Raiders jersey and other memorabilia.

And hopefully can rest this weekend.

Blue- GL today, I'll keep you in my thoughts!
Raynes-push that baby out already, we're ready to meet him.

• I had a chocolate muffin for breakfast today. Salad? Haha :)

For real though, I think I could get into eating salads for breakfast. I'm a breakfast hoar, but I always crave breakfast stuff in the morning - cereal, eggs, toast, oatmeal etc. I love salads so I think getting into the habit of eating them in the morning would be a good thing - although I know it would take some getting used to.

Lately, I've been waking up really hungry and craving muffins and heavy breakfast stuff which I never did before. When I give in to that and eat something really heavy in the morning, I feel like shiit for the rest of the day. Kinda sluggish and gross so I want to eat something filling but not something that would make me feel that way.

• SMOOTHIES Hike! Seriously. That smoothie I've had twice this week has left me so full. But not heavy.
• I eat somewhat large breakfasts every day. Typically I will do eggs, sausage, and potatoes, or pancakes, or an egg and sausage english muffin. I am really cranky if I don't have a good breakfast.

Whatever you have. I did mine in a little Ninja blender thing (that thing is fucking awesome.)

big handful of spinach on the bottom, then a cup (6 ounces) of Greek yogurt,
tsp of peanut butter
4-5 strawberries
1/2 banana
tsp flax seed meal

Blend it all together until smooth. Then I added about a cup of ice and blended again quickly. It was too bitter for me (my banana wasn't ripe enough) so I added a little squirt of local honey.

Delicious. But I'll probably use all frozen fruit from now on so it stays slushier/more frozen.
• I will legit pass thefuck out if I don't eat something for breakfast!

Morning! Good vibes for Raynes, Sept, and Blue today. I too am convinced Dmill is housing two Rambo babies.

I could get down with salad for breakfast. I've been really bad this week with breakfast, and grocery shopping in general.

Dot, my HS did Suessical when I was a senior. I think it was a great production- perfect for high school cast and family audience and it really allowed for creativity among those involved. How many shows is your daughter doing?
• Oh that makes sense, Dot - it's called breakfast because after not eating for many many hours you "break" the "fast" by eating something in the morning! And breakfast is a great way to jumpstart your metabolism :)

I was in drama in high school! I loved being in plays and I miss it too, sometimes. The last play I was in was my freshman year of college. I played 7 or 8 different parts in the Laramie Project. It was such a cool show to be a part of.

That's so cool for your daughter, Dot. My younger daughter plays several instruments and was in the Youth Symphony. I love to watch her perform. She and her friend accompanied the pianist for the processional and recessional at my wedding.

I have lunch at 11:30. I have to eat in the morning, especially if I'm going to the Y. We don't usually eat dinner, though, since DH doesn't like to.

Yeah, I can have breakfast any time of day. I love breakfast for dinner, but H doesnt. Hmmmm....maybe I'll do that while he's gone! I love eating stuff he wont when he goes OOT.

As for the windows open, I love it we usually have our master bath window open and it's 3 floors up a straight wall, so no chance of anyone getting in. I'll only open the BR window if H is home, we are right next to the woods.

• My favorite smoothie is more like a milkshake. I'd love to have it every morning but I'd have to make it before work.

It's chocolate soy milk, PB, banabas, ice, and a drop of honey all blended together. So amazingly delicious.
In Response to Re: TGIF : I might eat breakfast twice a year, maybe. I never eat before 11:30am and I hate most breakfast food. And worse I almost never eat dinner. My doctor says it's a major contributor to my weight issues. He says my Jody is storing every calorie it gets because it doesn't know when my next meal is coming. I hate the idea of eating food in the morning. HATE.
Posted by Dot Dash
This is most likely true Dot, when you think of when you had your dinner say 6:30PM and when you eat again 11:30AM you have gone almost 16 hours without food, you are starving yourself. I had to 'teach" myself to like breakfast because I used to do the same thing. I would start simple, maybe toast at first, but gradually your body will crave something that early and you'll get used to it.
AATB that makes sense. Maybe I'll try salad for breakfast. I love me a big salad. They have seven shows in two weeks. They have been working on it since last October. For those of you who know the show she plays a bird girl and a fish. They sold out last night and the audience went nuts. The whole process has been just unbelievable. FI bought her two dozen roses and brought them to the show for her. When he gave them to her afterward I just about died. I'm tearing up again kist thinking about it. I'm so lucky. Today is a very good day!

That's so sweet of your FI. My dad brought flowers to every one of my piano recitals. It meant a lot to me, and now H and I take flowers to my niece's ballet recitals. I bet that meant a lot to your daughter.
