<div>It is one of my favorites right now too.  Whenever I learn a new word I'm like a little kid with a new toy...overuse overuse overuse.  I've pronounced many things bespoke recently that just flat out are not!</div>

Ditto. That's just unheatlhy. And so is your attitude about it.

My sister lost 100lbs on the new WW system in 15 months. I figure if she can lose that much, I can certainly lose the 60 I need to shed.

No, you can't. I did HcG and it was 500 cal- I was exhausted. I quit after a week. In the last 2 months I have lost about 20 lbs by watching what I am eating. Yea, it took longer, but I didn't starve my body into submission.

Yeah, exactly - the suit was an awesome investment.  He's certain it's what got him his new job LOL.  He's shocked that I think a $70 pair of Nine West shoes is expensive.  Then again, I have a lot of shoes.  When he told me how much his "work" loafers cost I nearly had a heart attack, but he wears them every day until they literally wear out.  So it's about the same.

With everyone talking about losing weight that really wants me to kick start working out again.  The sweetest thing is that my FI wants to run/jog with me, so we work out together.  Of course, my jogging equals his like hopping since he is like 6' 4" and I am like 5' 1". Other than that, I have gotten my FI to cut out candy and premade foods (like cookies from the store, or frozen meals).  It is weird, but I feel better if I make the cookies, or if we make the pizza. Instead of sticking frozen pizza in the oven or buying a package of cookies.  It has to be a little healthier right?

<div>Optimal calories is based on heigh, weight, sex, age, and activity level. Mine supposedly is 2100 calories but I only eat about 1500 a day. Because of my diet habits I still get all the nutrients I need. Basically, the concept is an average person needs 2000 calories to get all the nutrients they need. </div>

This made me literally laugh out loud. MFP recommended 1500 calories for me, I think... but that's because I put that I'd only like to lose 1/2 lb a week. I kind of quit MFP after 2 days though because it was a hassle.

Nope, not a typo. The drug is supposed to help you learn healthy eating habits and break the food addiction issues. But, it certainly put me the other way - into a much more unhealthy diet.

I'm shooting for 600 - 800 calories and not dropping so fast this time around.

Yep, it's stupid. And, I ended up flaring my lupus really badly and in the ER with inflammed kindeys after 2 months on that 'diet'.

Depends on what you are trying to do. 2000 is kind of middle of the road, and the "standard" put out there in Health class.

I want to lose weight. My BMR is 1596 so if I do nothing then I will burn 1596 calories a day. My diet to lose weight is about 1600 calories a day. I work out 5 days a week and lose around 1-2 lbs per week. When I get down to my goal weight/size I will be switching to a maintenance diet.

I really pay the most attention to my calories and sugar in take.

  • Since I doubt you'll change your mind about the amount of calories you take in I am at least going to encourage you to mainly drink fruit and vegetable smoothies. That way you're at least getting most (not nearly the amount you should) of your nutrients in that crazy low calorie in-take.

The weight is affecting me, too.

I think if someone would treat my borderline low thyroid I would be able to lose weight like a normal person vs going to desperate measures.

I was a size 18/207lbs at 5'3, bmi of 32 eating 1200 calories, working out 6 days a week for an hour not losing weight. Go figure.
