For those interested, here is the long story (and I apologize to those who don't care, because it's a pretty long post)

This is the text pretty much word for word:
"Hi, I'm really stressed and need to get this off my chest. I love you but you are not the same person you used to be. A. when I ask you to hang out you say you have to check your schedule but I know you only say that to me. B. I demoted people out of my wedding so you could be in it and you're not even grateful for that...you haven't helped me once...i loved the shower but you didn't even talk to me there?! you never offer to help me make wedding things even though other people have and as a bridesmaid you are supposed to be involved. I still want to be your friend but you shouldn't be a bridesmaid....these are pictures I'm going ot have forever and with you not hanging out with me or giving me time like you used to, I don't think it's good for you to be in the wedding. You are still invited...maybe you can help do bridesmaids hair now?!  Now you don't have to hang out with everyone all weekend long so it'll be less awkward for you this way. It's really for the best!! Please tell me you understand!"

My friend is a hairdresser, so she literally does have to check her schedule before making plans - she doesn't have set hours. And she said she couldn't do hair for the wedding because the bride wants all their hair done at a salon my friend does not work at, and she doesn't feel comfortable "working" there for a day. My friend dated one of the groomsmen several years ago and has since moved on, but the bride thinks that her being there will make it awkward for some reason, I guess.

The bride is an entitled bitchh, basically. This is the girl who put Hooters on her wedding invitations as a "great place to kill time between the ceremony and reception".

  • OMG They are so adorable! What are some of the names you came up with?

Exactly! Kinda seemed like a GBCK.

Midge, I thought the same thing.

Mica, sorry you couldn't get your kitties :(

Mica, I wish you could get your kittens today :( What names are you thinking of?
  • Oh, this is the hooters wedding.  Explains everything.

I left for a while, but now I'm catching up:

Natrasha- you can thank cashews for that one, not me.  But i"ll take credit if you'd like (:

LDY- We'll take you to our favorite beer/wine store that has a bar full of unusual things on tap when you road trip here.  The staff knows us, not only by name, but they know what's going on in our lives too.

Jesus Leisel, that's a ridiculous story.

...And I have like 10 pages to catch up on!

  • That bride sounds ridiculous, "you havent helped me plan anything" "I demoted other people for you", she sounds like an entitled brat. Your friend is probably lucky she doesnt have to deal with her craziness on her wedding day.

Liesel, I would absolutely get my money back and seriously, she asked her to help and do hair!?
    Hell no.

  • Mica, those are some cute little kittens.

  • Leisel, that bride sucks.

H originally wanted to keep the girl cat as Alex (to annoy his brother with the same name) and name the boy cat Tigger.
I originally wanted Taco (after the famous Taco Cat) and Jagger.  Or Chairman Meow and Liger.
Last night, we thought up Damien and Dempsey.  (H is a huge Damien Dempsey fan, our first dance was to a Damien Dempsey song, and the name meanings are perfect for cats -- "to tame" and "proud.")
  • Leisel, that's really shitty. At least your friend won't have to deal with her "duties" anymore. Sounds like a relief!
  • Holy crap Leisel. She should for sure try to get her money back but I'm not sure she'll get through to her. We may be seeing a post about "how dare a BM I kicked out ask for her money back" in just a few days.
  • I especially love the part where the bride demoted people to get your friend into the WP.  Good grief.

Mica, that sucks about the kittens.
Leisel, if you've ever had polenta at an Italian restaurant, that's grits.
No flames, so I'll head over to the afternoon thread.

  • Oh, I know. She's out of her mind.

I feel bad for my friend because she actually cares about this girl and considered her a close friend.
  • Mica!  They are so cute!!

Liesel, just to reiterate what everyone else has said, that is UTTERLY ridiculous.  I feel really badly for your friend.  And she did it over text message!?!  What a dipshit.
  • Leisel, she should definitely punch her in the face.

Mica, out of all of those, I really like Chairman Meow and Taco. Like, as in want to steal them for any future cats.

H is taking me to an alpaca farm for our anniversary. I keep trying to get him to buy us some alpacas. I really REALLY want an orangey-brown male alpaca. I want to name him Nacho. A mature male alpaca is called a "macho." Thus, I would have a sweater made from Macho Nacho.

  • I love Dameon and Dempsey.

I always want to name cats overdramatic things.  My cat was named Desdemona (yes, after Othello.) and I named my roomate's cat Salome (yes, after the dancer from the Bible.)
