Confessions?

Will that spice things up a little bit around here? I cant remember the last time we had confessions.

Mine: We went to a christmas party lastnight and my husband and I didnt know anyone but the hosts. My husband was his normal self and sat in a chair with a drink not talking to anyone but me all night and I finally got up and left him to go mingle for a while and let him sit on his own for almost 20 minutes. He didnt have a good time and I think its his own damn fault and he kinda sucks sometimes. I wish he was more social.

I love my sewing machine that I got for Christmas, I really do, and I'm very excited to start using it and crafting it up, but for the amount of money my H spent, I found myself thinking last night "if you were going to spend this much, you should have just bought me a diamond pendant necklace like I've repeatedly told you I want!". I didn't say it, but it did come into my mind. I feel terrible even typing it though.

Sounds just like my husband. You should fly down here for a visit. We'll hang out and have fun while they can just sit and stare at each other.

I've enjoyed being home the past few days without DH. I am excited to see him, of course, but the time apart has been nice...plus, I've been busy with my mom.

I'm headed to my friend's house now and while I love her and miss her, I hope that the convo doesn't revolve around her daughter...or even my pregnancy. I want to talk about other shiit, and I doubt we will. I'd kinda rather nap instead.

Oh, and if she gives me another dressy scarf/shawl thingy as a bday gift I will be pissed. She's already given me 2 - and I have NEVER worn either. She should know me well enough that I don't wear stuff like that. Ugh.

I'm a little put off that all of a sudden people like OMG I LOVE BEN FOLDS when they didn't even know who he was two weeks ago.

The SAME PEOPLE who asked me who he was when I went to see him in concert a couple of months ago are the people who have him all over their facebook status.

And it's stupid that it irks me, but it does.

Haha that makes me laugh. He does do that, just sits and looks at people. As long as he has a drink in his hand he usually doesnt get too fidgety.

My H and I are doing stocking stuffers ($50 limit) this year as our gifts since we bought a flat screen as the big gift. I'm afraid that I'll be disappointed in his items, ONLY because he keeps talking about how bad he is at picking stuff out. I told him I'd like whatever he picked, but seriously, I'll probably have to repeatedly tell him that I like everything because he will keep asking me if I really do or not. Ugh. I'd be more than happy with a crisp Grant in my stocking if he's that worried about it.

I also confess that I wish I had never built up my family's expectations for what I give them every year because you can never go back once they expect a certain level of effort/money from you.

My confession is that I thought Amoro and I had buried the hatchet. I'm kinda bummed that I was wrong.

I also did not know who Ben Folds was until watching The Sing Off. I may have to do more research, because I still don't get why he's so popular.

Ben Folds was more the rage when I was in college. I don't think I know anyone obsessed with him now.

Confession: I feel super guilty, cause I have a job and all, but I hate it. They slashed our vacation time for next year and took away half of our paid holidays. And I'm doing the job of two people, plus "extra projects" the marketing director comes up with for me because she doesn't want to do them herself. Actually, my regular job can be considered, "Stuff my boss doesn't want to do himself." I figure if I'm only getting 6 holidays and 2 weeks vacation, I have no incentive to stick around. Except, you know, the regular paycheck.

Manda- I have similar feelings sometimes. FI's family seems to be all sorts of unhealthy. It makes me not only worry about FI dying young, but our children inheriting various genetic problems.

I got two christmas cards in the mail today from family members... addressed to Mr and Mrs WRONG LAST NAME. I know full well they received the christmas card we just sent them that plainly has our correct name on it. How the hell hard is it to not imagine extra letters in peoples names. I want to call them and tell them they were wrong, but I feel like that would come off as a lecture.

I really wish that we'd get a blizzard here so I don't have to go home for Christmas. Mom called last night and the first thing I got was guilt over being so hard to reach. Okay Mom, next time I'll skip H's family Christmas to wait at home for your call. Oh, and thanks for the birthday wishes sandwiched between the guilt over not answering my phone and the list of people dead or dying this holiday season. Maybe there's a reason I don't want to talk to you?

FI has bad teeth (that he has passed on to his son). This is a major concern why I question having a child with him. You can't get much more shallow than that.

I confess that I'm really glad jerkface coworker is gone. He came in today, just long enough to say "I'm done," and left. I'm annoyed that he gave us a week and a half notice, and then came in the next day just to say he's not sticking it out, but I'm so happy he's gone. No more day dreaming of pushing him in front of swiftly moving busses

I also hope that him cutting his time here short screws him over in the way of severance.

A girl I've known a long time recently had gastric bypass surgery done. Today her FB status said that at her 2 week post-op appointment, she's "lost 20 lbs already and can start eating pureed foods!"

I really wanted to change my status and say "I've lost 5-7 lbs over the past few months by watching what I eat and EXERCISING!"

When we drop our dog and cats off to be boarded tomorrow, I will probably cry.

I also made a mistake at work (that wasn't totally my fault, but I failed to double-check something) and I'm terrified I'll get fired. I doubt I will, I'm just beating myself up over something stupid, but my boss is on vacation and I can't contact her directly so I'm agonizing about it. I e-mailed her once I found out right away, explaining what happened and apologizing, and I got a brief two word response this morning that didn't indicate anything one way or the other. I feel so godawful about the whole thing I want to crawl in a big hole. I just hope I handled it right.

I'm hoping that the fact that she didn't call me to ream me out means she doesn't think it was a big deal. But then, I freak out like "maybe she's not calling because she doesn't want to fire/yell at me the day before Christmas break." Ack.

I smoked 5 cigarettes pretty much back to back yesterday. I NEVER do that. I rarely smoke anymore.

I am trying with every ounce of what I have to be happy and make christmas a good one this year. H is really wanting our first christmas as a married couple to be a great one.

Truth is, I hate christmas as it is and my sister is going to Ontario so I won't be with her or my "mama". I'm spending it with H's family. While I love his family, I don't want to spend christmas with them because it's already tough enough without my mom, I want to be with my "mama" or my sister.
