[QUOTE]Thankfully FI is 6'2" so he reaches the high spots. I am excellent at cleaning baseboards, however.

Yeah, the stupid ground is far away.

[QUOTE]I'm only 5'.  At prom I stood on a chair to dance with my tall friend.  I looked around the room and was like "oh, so this is what the tops of people's heads looks like."

<div>My prom date and HS sweetheart was 6'5". Apparently I have a thing for tall men. </div><div>
</div><div>I have always wanted to see the tops of people's heads... or at least their eyebrows on level. </div>

  • Ha.  H is 5'10 to my 5'4".  He doesn't like it when I wear taller heels cause it makes me too close to his height.
  • I always feel really awkwardly giant-esque around people when I don't know them well or first meet them, and I am noticeably taller. I don't know why but I feel like I turn into super gawky-mode. But with friends or family that are short, I don't even notice that.

  • What is even considered average height for women anyway? I feel like most of my friends are within a few inches of myself.

  • I think 5'6" is about average.

  • INTERCEPTION!

Where has kjb been? I've seen her on FB but not here in a while.

  • FI is 5'8" so we aren't going to be producing any recruits for the NBA.

The best purchase I made when we moved in together was a step ladder which I use daily in the kitchen.

I also ran by my elementary school during Thanksgiving vacation and I felt really weird and tall.  I've been there before and it's just so weird.  My perspective has only changed about 6-8" or so since I went there but sheesh I feel so tall!! I don't hate it.
  • I have height tested multiple wedding shoes on FI. I don't want him to have to bend to far for the first kiss, haha. The craziest ones brought my head to his chin. That felt weird.

Musu- I would kind of like to have a day in the life of a tall person. Just see how things are different/easier/harder.

  • I want to stand next to you musu.  I could bring my labs to come play with Tory?  Maybe the puppies will make it less awkward for you?

  • Our pedi fully believes that E will be taller than both my H and I. We both have taller relatives and FIL is 6'4".

  • I'm 5'5 and I think FI is around 5'9. It seems that I am always eye level when I wear heels. I have such a long torso that when sitting I am as tall as my dad who is 5'11.

  • 5'6" makes sense. Seems like most people are about a half a foot up.

Megbo- I have a fantastic step stool from IKEA that puts me up another foot. I couldn't live without it.

  • People I know who are 5'6"-5'8" consider themselves tall.  Not super tall or anything but taller I guess.
  • Well what a fun night I'm having. We are trying to put up the Christmas tree and my H goes all BSC.

  • Yes jal!!! That sounds like a lot of fun. :) I wouldn't mind switching places w/ a short person for a day to see the differences. I always think its weird when I try my "bent knees" walk thing.

  • Wow the Seahawks actually scored! And I heard the fireworks from the celebration 9 miles away!

  • I don't really understand how height works in genetics. Seems like short people have taller kids all the time... my sister is a prime example. She is 5'8" and has the same parents. WTF?

  • Aw, Oreo, I'm sorry. What's up his ass?

  • Both FI and I are about 5'7".

The doctor told me I would be 6 foot. I'm not going to lie, but most days I'm bummed I'm not taller. (We have a short complex in my family.)

<div>Glad I'm not the only one.  It has a spot where it fits between the fridge and the cupboards.  It's never there though, because it's always in use so it gets dragged around.  FI even uses it.  Best $20ish I ever spent.  Well, kind of. </div>

  • I have a few friends from college who are close to 5' tall and I feel tall and awkward when I hang out with them.
  • Example of my giant-ness... this is a picture from like 4 years ago, but it is one of my best friends from my dance studio and she is about 5'3 I think.. Just to give context...

Most people get cradled into me like that, lol.

  • My H and I are both 5'7" but I'm usually taller than him because I stand straighter than him. But he has awkwardly long arms so he reaches everything for me.
  • I'm sorry eorea!

The doctors told my grandma that both my sister and I would barely make 5'. I would be just over and she would be just under. I think it's one of those things that skips a generation in a way but who really knows.

  • I wish I was an inch taller, but in my legs. I feel that would help spread out the fat. They are just so short so then it builds up. Haha.
