I do this. It is usually when I don't plan on being online or focusing on something for a long period of time, like when I am at home. I get on for maybe 30 minutes, see if there is anything interesting and then go do something else. Or when I feel like I have nothing to contribute, like when chat threads have a lot of alcohol and drinking talk. I can't relate and have nothing to say, so I go back to lurking.

I rarely look like my sig pics these days, haha. Only if I'm going out. I spend most of my time in sweats with no make up and my hair wavey. Or, in the case of right now, ridiculously frizzy. No sense in getting all done up to do nothing, or to nanny, when I'm actually working.

Leisel, my invitations were square and ecru with black thermography. My parents hosted, so we used the traditional wording. Ours had an inner envelope, which apparently confused my ILs. Our enclosures included a reception card, RD invitation (for WP/immediate family/OOT folks), and a reply card (regular or with RD added). My mom bought custom stamps from Zazzle. They had butterflies, our names, and the wedding date.

SIL pitched a freaking fit because we didn't include a map. We also didn't include hotel information, since my parents covered the hotels for the OOT family. She kept claiming Google's directions were not reliable, so she demanded we send her directions. We merely copied from Google, and she got there fine.

Oh it's not that great of a story. A childhood BFF of mine got married in a "surprise" ceremony. We were invited to their engagement party, but had another wedding to go to that day, plus the party was out of town by about 4 hours. So we declined.

Surprise, they shocked everyone by showing up in a wedding dress and suit and got married on the spot. I was a little butthurt about it - if I had known it was their wedding, we would have gone. So I posted about it all "omg woe is me does my friend hate me" blah blah.

Yeah. She emailed me on FB apologizing to ME. I felt pretty damn awkward and apologized back since, I mean, I was posting about her lol. It was weird.

My H and my mother know I hang out here. My mom is not at all interested in it, though she knows I've met some people from here.

H is fascinated. He (lovingly) refers to you all as my "Knot Dorks" and frequently asks what's new and exciting here. He finds it especially hilarious when someone teaches me new sex-related slang or when someone's sig resembles a penis (MK, Cal, etc.).
