    <div>Yes it is...and sadly so.  There are so many needy kids in this world, I hate that it is so hard to adopt and let good families love them.  I particularly hate that it becoming so difficult to adopt in the US, thus forcing American couples to go abroad to adopt.  Adopting from needy parts of the world is an excellent thing to do, but there are lots of kids in the US that need loving families.  I'm a high school teacher in a very low-income area and one of my big soapboxes is about forgetting kids in need in our own backyard.</div>

    Abby just jump in. Sure, you may be ignored at first, but people will warm to you. It's not b/c they don't like you, it's because posters tend to glaze over newbies sometimes.  I will try to remember/pay attention to you when I am around!

    There needs to be a massive Vegas GTG where we do Racher's hair curling master class and Chrissy and My's Beer Appreciation course.  Who volunteers to take on wine?

    Ditto, sleep wins out over hair and makeup.  Although I love doing it and love how I look when I do it.  Now it's more of a special occasion kind of thing.  And now that I'm going to be going back to school, I don't even need my fancy clothes.  I hope I don't go back to looking like a total slob though.

    I confess that I am CRAVING chocolate.  I mean, I love chocolate and sweets like anyone, but I rarely actually crave it.  I'm at work and its all I can think about.  And I desperately need a hair cut, its been since December and I just feel like my hair looks ratty and unhealthy and gross.

    Yeah, I jumped from page 8 to page 15 so I could interact.  Now to catch myself back up... Cool

    I agree with everyone else that jumping into the chat threads in the morning/evening is the best way to break in. When I started posting here, it was mostly in WR threads and then random threads like this. Nobody knew who the eff I was, so I was ignored. Eventually, I basically inserted myself into every evening thread ever (my FI was busy with law school, so I had a lot of time on my hands) and people got to know me. It does take time.

    Hilarious.  Yes, clothes horse is definitely the right word!  My H doesn't look like a model, OK, maybe a Brooks Brothers model.  It just makes me laugh because there's no difference in what he wears to work vs. the grocery store vs. out with friends.  Girls make distinctions between all those things.

    Mine was until I had kids.  Then this curl/wave showed up.  My hairdresser said it has to do with the pregnancy hormones.  I have no clue if it is true or not, but my kids are 12 and 8, and the curl is still there. The funny thing is, now I straighten it from time to time.

    I confess that I just did the "if it's not in the dresser where it belongs, it's dirty" rule on FI because I swung by the apartment to bring some more stuff over and couldn't take it anymore. 

    I feel much better now. :)

    I haven't read any of the thread and probably won't get to as I'm just taking a quick break!

    I confess I joined Weight Watchers, and the only people that know IRL are my sister and H. (Well BIL probably knows too, being married to my sister and all). I don't know why I haven't told people. Maybe because I did the whole wellness thing all of last year, then slipped up and gained 25 lbs. I've lost 10 in three weeks, so I'm definitely getting back on track. I just hate my life when I have to obsess about everything I'm putting in my mouth.

    I confess that I will probably love living by myself again come July. The more I think about it the more excited I get. 

    ETA: Finding FI started some laundry and left it there for 3 days sparked me thinking about this again. Really FI? Now I have to do those loads all over.
