Hey all - it's night now.

Re: Hey all - it's night now.

  • Mica, the kittens are precious!
  • H and I were watching Bridezillas a year or two ago. They said the couple was from this area, so we were having fun pointing out landmarks and such. Then they showed a shot of the groom and his family. Once upon a time, I banged him. My younger self made such poor decisions.

Even then, I don't know if I could treat people like that, or let myself be portrayed like that on television.

I'm sure that brought back heart-warming memories, lol.
  • Awww, Mica. Supreme cuteness. They kind of look like what our Emmie Cat probably looked like as a kitten. (We got her at the shelter, so don't know.) She doesn't have white paws, though.

[QUOTE]I used to love Bridezillas when they had "normal" brides or even "normal" mixed in with the trashy. But now it seems to be all people who couldn't afford a honeymoon so they go on the show to get the free one. It also seems extra staged.

I'm a sucker for trashy 'reality' tv. I mean, seriously, Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant are two of my favorite shows.

The crap I watch on tv is totally judge-worthy.

  • Nope, no names.  They are still boy and girl kitty.

<div>Yes. Heartwarming memories of banging in the back of an Oldsmobile Bravada. Speaking of klassy...</div><div>
</div><div>Jess, even if I knew my friend couldn't afford a HM, there is no way I'd let her treat me like that for the sake of a vacation. She can suck it up and pay for it like everyone else, or she can skip it.</div><div>

  • Did you tell your H that you banged the Bridezilla groom?
  • I have to DVR my bad tv. Otherwise Elliot won't let me watch it. Someone in the house has to have tv standards, and it isn't me!

  • Speaking of trashy reality tv:

    Charming.
  • You can poach chicken and shred it.  It's the healthiest way to make chicken, probably.

<div>Yes. He asked if we used protection, then made fun of the guy's facial hair.</div>
  • I DVR all my guilty pleasures.  H won't watch reality tv or most sitcoms with me.  I can't decide if it's a good or bad thing that he hates my trashy tv.

<div>More of a very low simmer than a boil. If you let it boil, the meat will get kind of tough and dry.</div>
  • I love Big Brother and Bachelorette - and Survivor and The Amazing Race - but that's all the reality TV I watch.

  • Brian just beat Diablo III and I was all "YAY! No more video games for a while?" and he said "Aw hell no, you play it again"

    BOYS ARE WEIRD.
  • Muni, did you expect anything but class out of Bristol? She's my role model.

Special, ITA---I wouldn't let my bride friend treat me like crap for a free vacation.

I see the temptation and all, but...no. Absolutely not.

But then again, that just shows you how klassy these ladies are IRL. They have no problem treating their friends/family/vendors/strangers like trash.

  • Poaching is a slow simmer in broth or water.  Don't cook the chicken too quickly.
  • No, Jess, i didn't expect class, but I'm surprised that she's stupid enough to let that sort of behaviour be on television.  I know I shouldn't be surprised.
  • Pretty sure I killed my chicken then. I'm boiling it like crazy. I guess I should put it in something extra moist when I use it?
  • Megbo, YGPM back!

  • Special, at least he laughed about it?

H can't complain about the crap that I watch, because all he does it watch ESPN. How many times in one day can you really hear the sports updates from the day? I tell him if he would just watch Sportscenter at night, he'd know all that he needed to know.

I also judge him a little for watching wrestling when he's bored.

We have shows that we watch together, but we don't take offense when we part ways and watch our own shows. It keeps us happy. :)
