One of Box Kitty's sisters at the shelter was named Megan, and I wish we could ahve taken her home with us too.

So, I think you should adopt Megan.  What does Megan look like?

Eags, do you have a treatment plan that could end in full recovery?  Or is this a permanent issue?

Damn those car accidents.  I wish I could blame mine for more of my aches and pains, but alas, only one.

  • Aryn, I'm so sorry.  I promise, there are much better things waiting for you.

Jesse, if I recall from my ice cream shoppe days - an Italian soda is basically a float but you just use soda water (unsweetened) instead of sweetened soda.  We would typically blend up chocolate syrup with the soda water and then add the ice cream.  I never really cared for them.

<div>He does have an inkling because I told him when I applied for the job that I wasn't sure if I'd let him move in with me in the end of July or not. It is insanely awkward. Partly why I said I'd pay for the gas for him to go to the graduation was because I wanted to have the house to myself for the day. </div>

She is a calico and so cute. I don't think I have any pictures handy. She looks pretty young too, like under a year old, so I'm afraid she is not fixed. I want to take her in to get her shots and get her spayed because I am worried about her. But H already thinks it's crazy that we have two cats so I need to work on him before I start paying vet bills for a third.

Penny and Rupert both had siblings at the shelter and I feel bad about separating them too. God I wish I could just get it over with and have 10 cats already.

Expired tags. D'oh. And I was just hanging up the phone from calling H to let him know there were a ton of cops on the road.

Aaaaand - he just dropped a full 1.5 liter bottle of vodka on the kitchen floor. Yippee.
  • Ugh, Aryn, what a craptastic position for you to be in.  I'm glad that you're at least able to have a plan and an out date.

  • Three cats isn't that many RP. Is your H the type to fall in love with her the more she's around?
  • Just a P&R since there is a hot bath calling my name, but I flipping LOVE grocery shopping. Mostly because I coupon like fucking crazy. I'm not one of those crazies from Extreme Couponing, but I'm set for hurricane season, and it's nice to know that since FI's checks are shiiit because he's on comp time to study for an exam, I don't have to shop for anything except milk and eggs.

Plus, I have to admit, that I get a kick out of watching the total of my tab go way down, and that's even with organic foods...to me, $30 bucks saved per trip is almost a full tank of gas, or a nice lunch with my BFF, or even tucked away for an awesome date weekend with FI.
  • Eags, that suhhhhucks.  I hope the accident was someone else's fault and you were able to sue the pants off of them.
  • Eagles, I had ruptured discs at L4/L5 and L5/S1 - I so feel your pain.  You're a freaking monster for dealing with it though. I had surgery in Aug. 2010 and had been doing great until 3 weeks ago.  I was just getting up off the floor and tweaked something.  I was on Flexeril and Percoset by the end of the day.

I know, right? We always had 4+ growing up, but we usually had indoor/outdoor cats as well and my kitties are indoor only for now. I think Megan is growing on him, but he has never had cats before and I have already gotten him to agree for one a year so I just need a few months to talk him into this new one. And I guess I need to make sure she doesn't actually belong to anyone.

  • MrsJesse, he's 5'9", so not particularly.  He does so much standing at work on concrete though that he's got little brown dots all over his lower legs (there's a name for it, I can't think of it though).

Yeah, I think the people next door are feeding her, but I don't think they actually OWN her.

I mean, I am not against letting pets outside at all, but this cat is NEVER inside and I think it's weird if people NEVER let their cat inside.

  • Damnn, Eags.  That is shitty.  Goodnight and hope you feel better

  • We had a cat once who was scared to death to be inside our house. Actually, she was our neighbors cat and when they moved they just left her so maybe she was just afraid to be in our house? I dunno but we gave up and let her be an outdoor only cat.
  • Night Eags!

And thanks chicas for the warm thoughts!
  • Ugh cats are fighting again, I need more wine.

  • I just finished it.

I just agree a whole lot with Stacks et al.  I also found it interesting that for everyone flaming the people that flamed Stefffi, no one named names there.  I was one of the biggest bitchasses (at least until I left, I didn't reaad anything after that), and I wouldn't have been surprised to see my name there, but there was nothing.  So that was weird.  I just think if you're going to flame, flame.  Name names, stand by your shiiit, and just do it.

His days are mostly 9-10 hours, so not that bad, but still more than long enough!  They've gotten more stools and stuff, which helps.  There is one store (H floats and does long term care and compounding) that has concrete and no mats or stools, and he bought his own stool which he hauls there when he works there.
