Seeing this kids mugshot makes me want to punch him in the face. I am so glad to live in a state that has the death penalty. I hope you gets it....

They were friends for years. Josh went missing on tuesday. They found his body beaten, tied and burned in a field. That other kid was found with Josh's truck and started telling all these stories. If you watched the video you would know that.

What else is there to know. This kid killed his friend for whatever reason. There is never a good enough reason to kill someone period. Not only that but he smiles in his mugshot. Now this kids family has to bury their sone who was only 18 all bc of some idiot.

There is alot of speculation because this kid has told the police so many conflicting stories. First he said josh is gay and made a move at him so he beat him. Then he changed that story. Either way. He brutally murdered someone. There is no excuse. Not only did he end josh's life but he ended his as well.

The bolded part came off really snotty.

While I fully support the death penalty, all of this doesn't automatically mean guilty. Did he actively participate? Were there others involved who may have actually killed him? Maybe the friend just stole the truck and had nothing to do with the mruder. I don't know, I didn't watch the video.

That being said, if he is guilty, then not only does that disgust me but yes, so does the mugshot. I would have no problem with him getting the DP if he is proven guilty.

If this was your friend, son, or brother imagine how you would feel. I feel sorry for his family but at least they have peace of mind knowing where their son is and can have a proper service for him.

Okay as anyone on this board will tell you, I am all for the DP. BUT, this kid hasn't been convicted yet. We don't know the entire story. What if the dead kid actually was a racist like the FB said? It isn't a reason to kill but still.

Also the DP should not be used on everyone. What about the wife who kills her abusive husband? What about the person who accidently kills someone? What about the person who kills someone in the heat of the momment? Should they all die too?

If he is found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt...fry him. Hopefully, he won't be allowed appeal after appeal only to sit on death row for the next 30 years.

My reservations are based on the fact that the kid doesn't look entirely coherent in his mugshots, and he attends an alternative school, which leads me to believe that he may have some other behavioral issues. That news story is not by any means the whole truth and nothing but.

None of these "facts" prove that the suspect in custody is the killer.

I'm not saying he isn't. I don't know the first thing about the case and streaming video is blocked at work (so no, I haven't "bothered" to watch it). But in this country, you are innocent until you are proven guilty. This kid hasn't even been tried yet and you're ready to hang him without hearing all of the facts. I hope you are never called for jury duty.

No one is saying it's speculation that the boy was murdered. Obviously that is fact. But it is still speculation that the kid did it.

If it was my brother, friend, whoever, I'd want to know that the person going to jail was the real killer. I wouldn't want to ruin another person's life based on emotions and quick whims. Thank goodness for trials. And like a PP said, I hope the jurors in this case aren't so biased.

I have been called to jury duty once. I believe in capital punishment. Eye for an eye. I believe is you rape a woman you should be raped and go through what she went through. If you bound a torcher someone before murdering them then that is how you should die.

Maybe its just how I was raised and where I come from.

But yes once I said my beliefs they said "ok well thank you, enjoy the rest of your day" LOL

From news reports so far - no one else was involved. The guy has confessed to doing it. As far as the DP - even though he has a history of problems (hence the alternative school) - he may not be eligible for the DP.

Based on the information in the article, it's also highly unlikely that he'll even get the death penalty. He's 19, and he cooperated with police during search efforts. My guess is he wouldn't have done that if there wasn't a lawyer and deal in place.
