I think it's pretty disgusting that the kid willfully broke the law, took someone's life, and is only going to spend 2 freaking years in prison.

I agree. Military members are very responsible (on average) and have been trained to remain in control and how to behave themselves.

Maybe I just wish bars and clubs would raise the age to allow patrons in. I forget where it was, NY maybe? I worked at 1 place that had 21+ for girls and 25+ for guys and it was effing awesome.

Personally I think most (especially people in college) people up until the age of 25 are assholes and dont know how to act. Especially when drunk. I have never seen a 30 year old women passed out in the bathroom naked with vomit all over her and sh!t running down her legs. But I have certainly had to clean up and dress many 21-25 year olds in that state.

But LDY keep in mind that I worked in Boston which is a huge college town. So my opinion on it is very biased and full of generalizations. Im aware of it, but its how I feel about it. I know it doesnt apply to everyone aged 21-25, but its my experience with it.

Here is another example. H was working a few weeks ago (he manages the largest nightclub in Boston). A friend of his was there. He got a text message from said friend around midnight. It was a picture of some girl getting banged from behind out in the open. Right out in front of everyone. I saw the pic. The girl was no more than 22 years old. Full of class.

It's the same here. If I were to take public transit to work I'd have to walk a mile to the stop, then ride the bus for two hours. It's a 35 minute drive.

And that is the IMPROVED version. It use to be that in order to take public transit to work I'd have to take the last bus of the day from my town to the bus garage, spend the night there, and resume my journey the next morning with a two hour bus ride.

I actually think it should be the other way around. Lower the drinking age to 18, raise the driving age to 21. Let people get a handle on how to drink responsibly before letting them control something as dangerous as a car.

I almost wondering if lowering the drinking age would fix things too. Being in France, I saw so many kids that (even with the age being 18) would enjoy a glass of wine or other drink at the age of 16 or even younger. There isnt such a stigma over there about booze. People don't drink to get hammered, they drink to enjoy the alcohol. They learn, at an early age, what alcohol does to them. Regardless of the drinking age here, (UO again), I think parents should be letting their teenagers drink. Not excessively, and always under their supervision. If people learned at an earlier age how to drink responsibly, I think all the ish they get into from 21-15 (on average) would diminsh A TON.

I think it's important that people get driving experience before they live on their own. I needed a car and to know how to drive it in college to get to both school and work because there was no public transportation.
