In Response to Re: Confessions or UnPop Ops or something? : I think I'm more ashamed at regaining weight than doing the program. I hate admitting I failed at something and I feel like I let others down when I do so well for so long, then slide backwards. KWIM. Like when I was hot with the weightloss thing people always talked about being inspired by me. But now I feel kind of like a fake because I couldn't maintain it.

I felt the same way after I lost 30 lbs a few years ago.  Then gained almost 90.  Yeah, that's where I am.
MK, having a bit of a set back doesn't take back everything you accomplished.  Even though you gained some weight, you're still healthier and in better shape than when you started, right?  AND you're nearly back to where you were!  You're still super-mega-awesome.

I know, I know. I just need little bits of encouragement from people now and again. I can't always keep myself motivated. And H, while supportive of my efforts, isn't really big on the outward displays of encouragement.
Another possibly flame worthy confession. With all of the postponed weddings and what not around here lately, I've wondered if anyone is a lurker or troll just telling a story to get attention. FWIW, I don't actually think anyone is lying about FI or H troubles. It just crossed my mind as a possibility.

He looks awesome and I appreciate that he cares about how he looks.  It just makes me feel like I can't keep up. Fun fact:  He got a custom suit made for the wedding - it cost twice what my dress did :)  Of course, it's just a black suit so he'll be able to wear it forever.
    Posted by amyb140
<div>Sounds like my fiance!  He is so excited to get a "bespoke" suit for the wedding.  He just loves really nice things...and buys a fraction in quantity to what I do.  I get shocked by what he'll spend on one item, he gets shocked that I'm willing to buy clothes at Target!  You're right, they'll wear black suits for a long time...it's a great investment that I have zero issue with.</div>

  • Adamar - for WW now the points are based on fat, fiber, protein, and carbs.  The newest program is supposed to encourage people to eat better calories and not just calories in general.  I think that WW also gives a better guideline on what your intake should be.  Whereas for counting calories, I've heard estimates all over the board for what I "should" be eating.

When I'm successful on WW, I feel like I'm not working hard at it all.  But that mindset doesn't always happen.  MK, I feel ya on the feeling like a failure.  But watching your (general you) weight is always going to be a constant struggle.  It's not magic, and everyone should realize that.

Oh absolutely.  And he doesn't approach it like he's embarrassed by me or anything like that at all - I really do go too long without buying new clothes.  He just notices that I'm wearing the same things over and over again.<div>
</div><div>He certainly married me for me - the night we met I had come from spin class and had showered, but my hair was wet and in a bun, no makeup, and I was just hanging at the bar to keep my girlfriend who was bartending company.  We got married 11 months later, so I guess he didn't mind how I looked ;)</div>

  • Best place I've ever tailgated was for the Indy 500 this year. It was just my beau and me and we made friends with all the people camping around us. It was AWESOME. I got way more drunk than him though so the 96 degrees during the race coupled with my hangover wasn't fun.
I'm not a huge race fan in general but it's fun getting excited with the crowd. And the day before the race they had "Legends day" with a bunch of old Indy cars. LIke a car form 1906 was running on the track. History is awesome.

I would love a workout buddy. Freals! H is the worst. He doesn't want to do anything I'm doing, and while I want to workout for an hour he only wants to put in like 30 minutes. So then he's just sitting there while I feel like I'm being rushed to finish.

  • Cofession - I went on prescription diet drugs for two months, ate a 250 calorie diet and dropped 30lbs.

Took a month off, dropped 4 more lbs and am now back on them with a 600 calorie eating plan.

Yes, I know it's unhealthy, but it is so nice to be normal sized again.

<div>It's just the fancy and correct word for custom made, in particular to men's clothing.  I used his words because the first time he told me this I had to google the word (thank you wikipedia for helping me keep up with a wedding attire conversation).  Fiance is a former, and always it seems, English major who likes correct word usage and good vocab.  Everytime I see the word bespoke now I send him a pic of or link to the item to check if he needs/wants it...you know, just to be obnoxious.  I used the quotes cause it's his poncy word, not mine!</div>
  • We need to get FI a custom suit. He and I are apparently chesty people. They want him to wear a 42 for a jacket and his waist is a 30...

I am down for Vegas. I don't really drink wine but I love Rum and Vodka. :P

<div>This is so beyond unhealthy I don't even know where to begin. Your brain is literally starving. You can only survive a few months like that before you'll have very VERY negative side effects. If you want to be a "normal weight", see an RD and set up a work out and diet plan. Preferable ASAP, before you're hospitalized. No joke. </div>
