I want to go to there.

Grits with butter, salt, and pepper is the best.  H likes them with a sunny side egg on top.

Yeah. We had a really serious conversation recently and laid everything out on the table and we both feel good about things going forward, both with his personal stuff and our relationship in general.

</div><div>I'm from the south, and I don't get the grits-love. It's just not my thing. I'd rather have oatmeal.

</div>
• The only two times I've had them, they had cheese in them. The last time, they had cheese and bacon.

Maybe I'm just doing bacon all wrong. Normally, I hate everything about it, but if it's wrapped around a blue cheese stuffed date or served at this particular restaurant, I want to go to town on it.
• Oh I LOOOOVEEEE grits. I have some every weekend. Love them.

Mandy, you look freaking awesome in your sig. I mean you always look good, but damn you look goooooood.
• I'm pretty sure I don't like grits. I don't actually remember what they are, but I remember having them years ago and thinking I didn't like them.

Oh I use instant grits. Embarassed But I tried two times to just add cheese and it makes it taste really weird. But I did make a cheesy grits casserole one time and it was delicious! But the fvcker took 45 minutes. I think if I just add the cheese in with my buttery grits though it gets like kind of ... oily? I guess? It tastes bad. So I usually just have regular grits with butter, garlic salt, and pepper. NOMNOMNOM.
• In Response to Re:FFF:
Special, I agree with you. It's the same IRL too. That's whynbsp;when H and I get into a fight, we don't go off telling our friends or family. Because we may get over it, but our friends and family can't get past it, KWIM?Not that we're pretending to be deliriously happy when we're not. Hope that makes sense. Posted by rachers1017
I am the same way. As much as I want to vent to my sister or friends I rarely do. Just as you said, we can get past it but f f not so much.

• I do not like grits at all. I too prefer oatmeal, even though the look of them gets to me every time right after they're made.
• I can just tour the US, and you can all make me some grits however you do it. I'll sample them all.

• I hate grits. Maybe because I am a northern girl at heart?

• I only had a spoonful of oatmeal one time and I felt like it needed salt, so then I thought I must be crazy since everyone eats sweet oatmeal so I never tried it again. I don't want to be the weirdo who puts salt in the oatmeal.

• Mmmm.  Grits.

Also, fried green tomatoes.  Yum.
• I just got a call from one of my doctors' marketing people and apparently they want me to be featured in their new commercials. I can't decide how I feel about this.
• H loves that instant oatmeal crap. I cannot eat it. One morning, I made steel-cut oats and added a bunch of chopped fruit and some maple syrup. That was the first time I had more than one bite of it. I actually finished the whole bowl without barfing. Progress.
