Flats for work.  My choices are brown, black, or pewter.  Or turquoise sandals.

• Mmmmm, sounds good.  Thanks!

Lizzie, no sauteed onions, but I bet sauteed onions and mushrooms would be delicious.  Noted for next time!

• I'll have to go find it, J. If I don't get it tonight, remind me tomorrow. I have a short attention span and True Blood is on soon.

Here it is:

1 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
1 lg. onion
1 stick butter
1 (6 oz.) roll garlic cheese
1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms (stems and pieces), save juice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Dash hot sauce
Cook broccoli until overdone - about 30 minutes. Saute onions in butter about 15 minutes. Add soup, mushrooms and juice. Break cheese and blend in until melted. Add hot sauce and broccoli, stirring until well mixed. Serve hot (stirring often)

The patti shells I use are the Pepperidge Farms mini shells, but the larger one's are good too.  I just set the tops aside on the platter so the drippings can be sopped up with that.  The smaller shells are better for cocktail parties, but I've used the big ones for my sit down dinners.

ETA: I just plate the big ones myself for the sit down dinnersand garnish with the top of the shell.
• Thanks Sara, that's what I was thinking too.

• Eags, once it melts and blends with the other sauce, it is awesome. You don't even taste jelly. Just amazing-ness.

• Oh hey, I actually found it.

2 lbs meatballs
1 jar (12 oz) chli sauce
1 1/4 C grape jelly
2 tbs lemon juice

Mix together, heat through, simmer.

Those are my only directions. Mema keeps it simple, ha.
• It's so good Eags.  Try it sometime.

• Good evening! We are getting slammed with the third thunderstorm band of the day. We did make a great dinner, though! I made a tofu scramble and Onion rings from scratch. Elliot found a great new vegan food blog, The Vegan Stoner, which is full of simple recipes. Less than 8 steps, and 8 ingredients. Got the ring recipe from there. Yummm.

<div>Those sound amazing and I would not use them for these appetizers. The frozen ones in a bag from Sam's or Costco or wherever are just right. You meatballs sound like the main attraction whereas the ones in the aforementioned party appetizers are more of a vehicle for the sauce. </div>

• I always add jelly to BBQ sauce when I make BBQ meatballs. Either grape or apricot. Amazing.

• Y'all should smell the roast I'm doing....I'm almost drooling.

I just cook the roast. Instead of cooking the potatoes with it, I slice them and crisp them in olive oil with garlic and herbs. Honeyed carrots (fresh) also included.
<strong>Let me try to wrap my little Italian brain around putting jelly with meatballs</strong>. Speaking of Italians and food, my mother had so much food at the house Friday and was essentially forcing the hairstylist and photographer to eat.  "Drink more water, too!  There are bottles in the fridge!  Don't dehydrate!"
Posted by EaglesBride2012
<div>
</div><div>See, I don't think of the kind of meatballs that you put jelly on to be the same as actual MEATBALLS. Like, my tiny Italian grandma makes meatballs that I'd never dream of putting jelly on. But then at a tailgate or something if there are meatballs I expect some preserves to be in there. I don't know if that makes sense at all, but yeah.

• Hi y'all.

Question. Would you ever consider, at the age of 35, dropping everything, starting over, selling your house, putting yourself in a financial hole, and working for peanuts for several years in order to pursue your dream?

Some of you have seen me posting about being frustrated with my station in life, lately. I'm giving some thought to risking everything, but I'm scared and feeling overwhelmed.
• Eagles~ I haven't read the rest of the thread, but you're married now right?
• H went for a bike ride.  I am not sure when he'll be home, but I'm getting hungry so I put my sauce (homemade) on to heat up.  Psst - Eags - I always use frozen meatballs... sacriledge :)).  He can eat whenever he gets home.
