Honestly, I think the PS kind of fits in this case. It's goofy, you know? It wouldn't bother me (probably because I was wishing I could do the same thing on mine).
  • I judge the guys on that TLC show Momma's Boys of the Bronx or whatever.  If I was 40, living at home, and making my mom wait on me hand and foot while I spent my days partying, I'd be embarrassed as hell and certainly not making a TV show out of it.
  • ANY- I have the 9th edition if you want it.
  • School books are the worst. My last semester of grad classes, I had 40 books to buy. Freaking English major.

Also, my car is filled with crap. Mostly papers. There's also a cat carrier, 5 jackets, a pair of dress pants, CDs everywhere, and a flashlight. Among other stuff.
  • I saw a car in a parking lot. It was piled high with trash (about shoulder-high), and there was just a little cutout in it for the driver. It scared me.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: I judge : That's a lot of stuff on not a lot of money, not to mention the increased property taxes and car insurance you'd have to pay for each year.

I respectfully beg to differ:  In Cleveland and the surrounding suburbs, you can get a nice forclosure for very little.  We've been looking at one that's 4 BR and 2 BA for $30K and we've talked them doen to $15K because of the foundation work, etc that needs to be done.  We could go up to $50K and get an even better house, still a forclosure and in really nice neighborhoods, buy it outright if we had that kind of money and still have enough money left over to buy a couple of decent cars for maybe $15K-$20K.  Property taxes and car insurance wouldn't be that much, especially if the house was originally valued at $50K.  Houses in the area we're looking at used to go for $100K and up, but because the housing market tanked and people are losing their houses, you can get a house that would have been $100K for closer to $50K, sometimes less.  Think about what you could do on the same income, but without having to pay rent and a car note.  It's not about living big, just positioning yourself to live smarter and save up so that you can live even better later on.  As opposed to splurging it all on crap that you can't even account for in less than a year.

</div><div>I think you'd be in for a shock. Property taxes get reassessed every year, and the taxes are not based soley on what you paid for the property. An empty foreclosure is going to be taxed much less than a house with occupants, especially if you make any improvements.

<div>So I did a mystery shop once (I do a lot of random jobs...) at the Goodwill Outlet.  Yes, the Goodwill has an Outlet store where they (try to) sell all the stuff they get that isn't good enough for the normal stores (think: unmatched shoes, badly broken toys, torn/stained clothes) and you buy eveything by the pound.  This place was seriously strange.  Anyway - except for mine - <u>every other car in the lot</u> was like that one.  I guess when you buy your useless crap by the pound you have to store it somewhere...</div>
  • I judge women who hang out in bars during happy hour and wait around until a dr, lawyer, financial type, etc look their way.  Honey- you're in your late 30s and dressing like I did when I was 21 and drinking like a fish.  Here's an idea- take care of YOURSELF by applying yourself in a career to earn money.  (keyword:  earn)  and just hope that mr. right comes along and wants to marry you.  Professional gold digger is NOT a career.

5 other people bought the other 5/6.  But I suppose there are probably other, more gruesome ways to do it.
