Expiration dates are just GUIDELINES cha. It was may less than 10 days ago. ;-) now, if we were having this discussion in December I might feel differently
Blue- I'm sorry it made you feel sick. That sucks. Have you tried eating anything? That probably doesn't sound good with a pukey feeling but sometimes that helps me if medicine makes me feel like that.
Cha- I would probably make it anyway, too. That's pretty close.
I forget what news channel I was watching at work but they were saying that expiration dates are just guidelines and they want people to waste less found and to eat/buy things at their discretion. So clearly the cake is still good :P

Well, it's kind of like Milk. It doesn't expire right on the expiration date, it's still good 2-4 days later. Some things just require some discretion imo.

The date was May 11th. I'm considering it... H just called and is coming home early, so I might just get him to pick up another box on the way home. You hoars made me want funfetti cake.
Me too, Jas. Even more so when it's in ice cream form from Cold Stone. I like the cooked cake too, though.
When it comes to cookies I would rather have the dough over the cooked cookies. I am really picky with how cookies are cooked and I usually only eat like two when I make them. I only make them when H asks, and half of the dough goes in the fridge for me.

But not just any cake mix! Its funfreakingfetti, it should be a crime to let it expire. Obviously I am a horrible person... I blame pre-wedding dieting.

Dude, I shiit you not, I had cake today. My love can be bought with cake. Cupcakes are even better.
Funfetti is vanilla cake with sprinkles baked into it. But you have to make it with the Rainbow Chip frosting, because the Funfetti frosting is lame, it's just vanilla frosting with sprinkles on top. Rainbow Chip is buttercream (I think?) with multi-colored white chocolate chips mixed in. It's diving. I've been known to eat that out of the can.
Edited: diving? WTF Mehgan? I meant divine.

First off, Miz, I'm so sorry. I hope your job lets you leave soon.
So, DH and I went to a Fork & Screen movie theater today for the first time to see Hangover 2. The movie was meh, but the food was pretty good and since it was the middle of the damn day we had the theater almost to ourselves. We might go back tomorrow, actually, haha.
We're going out in a few minutes to meet friends for dinner, drinks, and pool. It's been a good day.
