I vote yes, also.  That said, I have to think of something to flame/UO/etc haha

I flame the head boss at my office for asking everyone in my department, but me, why I was going to the retirement training this afternoon. 1- you could have just asked me and 2- just because I'm 24, doesn't mean I don't care about my retirement decisions. She does this all the time to try and get everyone to rat the others out. It never works and makes her look like the cvnt she is.

I flame BF's boss for thinking that just because she's pregnant, she gets to walk all over him.

I flame asshats that don't pay their rent. Siriously?? You are a grown up - deal with it.

I flame people lying about being sick/making up some BS excuses on why they can't come to work, or why they are late. Be honest. I don't care - and you're going to get written up regardless

U/O: I think people should be written up. A lot. if you fvck up - one warning - after that - something needs to occur - my boss is waaay too lenient

    Edit:
I also flame S - siriously dude, you aren't going to be able to make the land contract payments and have the money to move somewhere else - JUST MOVE! Break the land contract and give me the house. I am over the games.

I think the board is really clique-y. Which I also think relates to Rdr's U/O of not getting the HP obsession. We don't all have to love the same things.

I don't think this is an U/O, because I think the board is really clique-y too. And there's a double standard between the "cool girls" and other posters when it comes to certain things like pre-planning or going BSC etc.

I flame myself for ruining the surprise birthday cupcakes we were getting for my boss. I wanted her input on flavors since (duh!) they were for her, but apparently they were a surprise. I also flame my CW for not telling me they were a surprise which would have saved me the embarassment.

PS Would you call that premature surprisation?

<div>I really don't get this... CCO got flamed all over the place last week for her supposed pre-planning. I think the difference is that with new posters (U/O I hate the term 'newbs'), we don't know them, and they bust in here all 'we're unofficially engaged and I want to buy this amazing dress.' With regular posters (U/O Also hate the term 'regs') we know a bit more about them, and know that a couple posts in a thread telling them to chill out or distracting them with pretty shoes is enough to get them back on track. It isn't a double-standard, it's two completely different situations.</div>

I'm not sure this is a U/O, I think it is "clique-y" too. But I think it is in the nature of large groups of people to become "clique-y". Not all of us can be best friends with everyone else - that is WAY too much to keep track of. People have similar interests, personality traits, values, etc and it makes them feel close to one another. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. As far as I am aware people are not discounted here when they don't share someone's opinion.

I flame myself for going BSC earlier this week (instead of writing my name with my BF's last name in a notebook with hearts around it like a 12 year old, it might have involved seeing what gmail addresses are available with a combination of my name and his last name. I admit it, totally BSC. I'm okay now).

As for the clique-y, this board can be. But I agree it has nothing to do with HP or potatoes.

I don't think rdr's is an U/O. There are lots who don't love HP. I, personally, love HP. But I've never not liked someone based on their love or hate of HP. I like a person for who they are. HP does not a friend make. (Does that sound stupid?)

That was actually going to be my UO for the day anyway.

Everytime there's a new "omghungergamesisthebestthingever" thread, I get just a teensy bit irritated.  It's irrational, because I did enjoy reading the series.  I just don't think it's worth all of the hype.  The books are enjoyable, but their massively flawed.  It makes me sad that they get love around here from people who either don't like or have never read HP.  I don't get it.

[QUOTE]My U/O continues to be that I just don't care about preplanners.  I actually thought about this yesterday with the KK post begging for crazy preplanners to out themselves.  It seems this board was actually created by TK for those very people.  Instead, they got people with very strong opinions in the other direction.  Most of those people stuck around for a while, and passed the "don't be BSC" on to the newer posters. Do you think there may come a day when no one here cares about pre-planning, or it is encouraged?  What if a few regular posters started posting their own threads and having their own conversations about it, and eventually that became more common this board? Just curious.  Not sure it fits in this thread, but I thought I'd share.

</div><div>Sure it's possible. Just like there are waves of posters. Old Guard, new guard, etc (UO: I hate those terms). I don't doubt the board could take a turn towards wedding bee territory and become a place for crazy preplanners and "single bridezillas"</div><div>
</div><div>Also, as a spin of, I flame posters that say "you should have seen how it was before" whenever anyone mentions how the board is now. It's cool to reminisce every once in a while, but the board changes. Always mentioning how it was before is annoying. Comment on how the board is now. </div>
