I flame everyone who got all worked up about drinking while on antidepressants. Not so much for thinking it might not be a good idea, but more so for the tone the whole post took. It came across as very "tsk, tsk" to me. The girl talked to her doctor, said so, and still got a couple of "wellll, be careful, because google says it could be bad" responses. Chill out. If people died from drinking on SSRIs, I promise there would be a lot less college students around.

I flame tdwpg for appearing to be upset that there were unruly children at Disney World. What exactly were you expecting? If I didn't enjoy children, I definitely wouldn't choose to take a vacation to a place designed for children.

That was me (and I believe it was Yaga who didn't like twatwaffle ect.).

I don't really think there are various cliques on the board. I think the board acts like a clique that isn't really welcoming to new posters.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about the focus on dieting and exercise on here. On one hand, I am actively trying to eat better and work-out more, so the motivation is really nice. On the other hand it does seem to border on obsessive at times, and I don't think that's ever healthy.

That's why I don't post on any of the WW message boards. I can only talk about losing weight so much before it just gets to the point where it's all I'm thinking about, which is obviously not a good thing.

I'll give you - let's say a spark for this. Not so serious as a flame. She did say that writing about her goals every day really helps her to stay on point and stay motivated - and if anyone here would know about being successful in staying on track with weight loss, it would be her. I will repeat what I've said to everyone that calls out a generic brand of thread they don't like - just skip it. Quite honestly, I do skip some of Ely's threads on fitness. The SOLE reason is because I feel guilty that I haven't been good about the gym and reading it makes me feel like a lazy bum. That is on me, though, not her.

Also, she has established herself here as more than the girl who lost a badgillion pounds. You were MIA quite a bit for a while, so I think you may have missed some of her coming into her own around here. That is neither of your faults (or something gramatically correct to that effect).

Definitely wouldn't kill you for saying that though :)

Ummm, no, not true. An infinitive is an unconjugated verb, like "to read". You're talking about the way I ordered my sentence? In that sentence, "flawed" is an adjective. "Massively" is an adverb. I don't see the problem.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: FFF! : I'll step in for Ely and defend that she's asked about frequency of posts and no one called her out then. So I flame all of you for not speaking up when you had the chance.

I'm actually not even really thinking of Ely's daily threads. Those don't bother me. I feel like talk about losing weight infiltrates a lot of stuff we talk about that starts off having nothing to do with that.

And, it's not like I don't do it. I guess I'm just saying I think it's kind of sad that we're all (myself included) so, so focused on it. But, I understand why some people find that motivational. Like I said, mixed feelings.

Okay, I'm probably going to get flamed in response for this....and that's okay

I understand I'm a bit...okay... a lot cynical....

I flame TIger for overzealousness and the tendency to act like a giddy school girl in regards to weddingness.
I get it - i do, it's a big deal. I'm really genuinely happy for you, but sometimes it comes across as excessive.

Again, I get that for most people, getting married is a big deal - I just have a different view on it because of my past

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: FFF! : I was actually referring to some 19 year old Noob who I'd never heard of who wanted a PPD. But Molly would've fit into that category.. Sorry Molly...your ex was a creep! Also, I flame Sousa for flaming me. Hoar! (JK. Me love you long time.) Also, I flame Ely for constantly posting threads about diets and fitness. I get it, you lost a bagillion pounds and you like motivating us. But it's a little annoying to read about it everysingleday. I think you need to self-identify as something other than "that girl who lost a bagillion pounds". I know y'all are going to kill me for saying that.

I knew for the past year it would not have been a good idea to marry him. I just needed time to come to terms with it. He wasn't so much a creep but a guy with no life plan to better himself or find happiness. He was pulling me down with him and I didn't see it till I finally had the strength to end it.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: FFF! : Well if FFF is going to be for people to flame IRL things, then it will be boring. I'm flaming NEY for not FFFing right. And for having existential talks about the meaning of FFF and how it changes this board. I flame anyone who legitimately thinks that Elle doesn't like people who don't like HP. I love Elle, and I think she at least likes me somewhat, and I've never read HP and didn't like the one movie I saw.

Nope. Don't like you at all. I flame you for presuming that I do.

So there.
